Recently, many fans revisited earlier episodes of Bleach TYBW part 1 and discovered that the Soul King's name had been hidden in plain sight during episode 2 of part 1, in Souken's (Uryu's grandfather) diary. The Soul King's origins, along with his true name, were among the biggest mysteries of the series, often emphasized by his being referred to simply as "Reio" or "Soul King."
Given his status as an actual god and one of the most secretive figures in the entire series, the reveal of his name in episode 2 made many fans appreciate Kubo's genius in hiding the Soul King's name, "Adnyeus," in one of the series' earliest frames. This revelation has led fans to recognize Kubo's astounding writing ability.
Fan reactions to the post
Many fans have started addressing Kubo as the "King of Foreshadowing" due to his ability to hide a key plot point in a visible panel of the anime that aired months before its actual reveal. Others have simply praised Kubo's writing abilities, commending his skill in hiding such a significant hint and the fans' inability to notice it for months.

A few fans took the opportunity to highlight how the numerous hints and additional material surrounding the Soul King, along with other anime-original details, demonstrate Kubo's involvement throughout the production. Many have mentioned that this subtle method of leaving clues is a hallmark of Kubo's style.

Bleach TYBW part 3 episode 3 will be released on October 19, 2024, and is expected to reveal Ukitake's actual involvement and role in the story following the Soul King's death. With the Soul King's death in episode 2, the consequences of this event and Yhwach's complete plan will be unveiled in episode 3 of the series.
