One Piece chapter 1121 is set to be released on July 22, 2024, but the raw scans for the chapter have already been unveiled. The man marked by the flames could have finally made an official appearance in the chapter when Vegapunk announced that the world's fate rests in the hands of whoever finds the grand treasure.

The chapter also saw Bonney and Luffy go against Saint Saturn as they broke Gorosei's body into little pieces. The Thousand Sunny had also reached the sea, hinting that the Straw Hat Pirates could be heading toward the next destination.

The climax of the chapter saw a two-page panel where Vegapunk announced that whoever finds the grand treasure will decide the world's fate. The panel had some big guns like the 4 Emperors, Dragon, Akainu, Imu, and some others. However, the person of interest was a mysterious one who wielded a sword. As the final saga is currently going on, this could be the man marked by the flames.

One Piece chapter 1121, commenced with a speech by Vegapunk, who revealed that the day is near when the mysteries of the Void Century will be revealed. He also explained that there are certain people the World Government cannot suppress anymore because these people are closest to the world's truth.

The chapter ends with Vegapunk claiming that the fate of the world will be in the hands of the one who finds the One Piece. The chapter then shifted to a two-page panel that showcased the Emperors of the sea (Luffy, Buggy, Blackbeard, and Shanks), Sabo, ex-Admiral Aokiji, Saint Garling Fingerland, Koby, Imu, Monkey D Dragon, Fleet Admiral Akainu, and a mysterious person wielding a sword.

Where everyone that was showcased in the panel made sense, as one of them will be the first to get their hands on the One Piece, the introduction of the new character made things interesting. As the series is in its final saga, introducing a character who could become a supporting character wouldn't make any sense.

So, this mysterious man could be the man marked by the flames, more commonly referred to as Hinokizu. This mysterious identity is a character that sails on a black ship and can make whirlpools in the sea, which could be the powers of his devil fruit.

The key importance of this character is that he has the Final Road Poneglyph, which was previously situated on Fisherman Island. Since he stole it, his whereabouts have been unknown until One Piece chapter 1121, which could have showcased its silhouette. So, the mysterious swordsman in One Piece chapter 1121 could actually be the man marked by the flames.

Eliminating the options

As fans are already aware, there are a lot of speculations as to who could be the man marked by the flames, and after the appearance of a silhouette, we can eliminate some speculation. Firstly, Dragon was also present in the final panel so he is not Hinokizu.

Moreover, Saint Warcury is also eliminated from the speculations because the Gorosei doesn't wield a sword. Other than that, some names that could still be seen as potential speculations for this mysterious identity are Doma, the Whitebeard Pirates, and some others.
