The New Gate episode 11, titled The Closed Holy Lands, started where it left off in the previous episode as Shin and Rionne were stuck inside the Holy Lands. They wanted to escape as soon as possible so they avoided exploring the lands and looked for an escape route. Looking deep into the place, they realized that they were inside a dungeon.

Shin, being the professional dungeon explorer, told Rionne to follow him and not to take any action without his permission. As they progressed, Shin took care of the monsters that interrupted them. Soon, they encountered a slime-like monster, which Rionne attacked, as she thought it was weak. But she was defeated pretty easily and was saved by Shin later on.

As they continued, they reached the last boss of the dungeon, a griffin. Shin made a plan and created openings for Rionne to strike the monster. As they continued, they managed to behead the monster, but it regenerated. Helpless, they had to retreat. Shin told Rionne to look for an escape as he went to face the griffin alone, without holding any of his true power.

While Rionne looked for an escape, Shin encountered the griffin and removed all his limiters. He beheaded the griffin 30 times, after which it lost its ability to regenerate. He took the chance and beheaded it for the final time, thus defeating the monster. Rionne also found a way out of the dungeon as both of them got out, hoping to return home.
