The Shiunji Family Children anime is set to premiere in 2025, as confirmed by the anime's official staff on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, via a promotional video and teaser visual. Along with this announcement, the names of the main cast and staff members are revealed.

Produced by Doga Kobo, The Shiunji Family Children anime serves as an adaptation of the eponymous manga series, written and illustrated by the Rent-A-Girlfriend author, Reiji Miyajima. Reiji-san launched the manga in Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine in February 2022. Four tankobon volumes have been released thus far.

The Shiunji Family Children anime's trailer and visuals confirm the 2025 release window

On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) handle for The Shiunji Family Children anime shared a special promotional video and teaser visual to announce that the series will be released in 2025.

However, the staff didn't reveal an exact release date beyond the release window. Meanwhile, the short video showcases the character designs for Arata and other important characters from the series and previews their character voices.

At the same time, the teaser trailer contains several iconic panels from Reiji Miyajima's manga series and reveals the logo.

Besides the PV, the teaser visual for The Shiunji Family Children anime depicts Arata Shiunji, the eldest son of the Shiunji family, and his seven siblings gathered to pose for a family-like picture. The illustration vividly portrays the unique personalities of each Shiunji sibling.

Cast, staff, and the plot of The Shiunji Family Children anime

Information regarding the main cast and staff members for The Shiunji Family Children anime is revealed. Yuichiro Umehara, the talented voice actor, stars as Arata Shiunji, the eldest son of the Shiunji family, while Chiaki Kobayashi voices the second son of the Shiunji family, Shion Shiunji.

Chika Anzai plays the role of Banri Shiunji, who is described as the kind and reliable eldest daughter in the family. Marika Kono lends her voice to Seiha Shiunji, the "smart and cool" second daughter, while Rie Takahashi stars as Oka Shiunji, Arata's brightest and hardworking sister.

Hana Hishikawa voices Minami Shiunji, the fourth daughter, who has three consecutive junior high tennis championships under her belt. Lastly, Kana Ichinose plays the role of Kotono Shiunji, the fifth daughter of the Shiunji family, who has a shy personality.

Coming to the main staff, Ryoki Kamitsubo directs the series at Doga Kobo, with Noboru Kimura in charge of the series composition and scripts. Mikio Muto joined the staff as the character designer, while Shota Horie, Ginga Hoshino, and Akki worked on the music composition under the director of PHYZ.

Based on Reiji Miyajima's manga, The Shiunji Family Children anime is a forbidden love comedy that follows Arata Shiunji, who lives with his five sisters and a young brother.

Arata curses his luck because he thinks he will never get a girlfriend. However, everything changes when he learns from his father that he and his siblings aren't related by blood.
