Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 262 was recently leaked, and it was fairly short with just seven pages due to author Gege Akutami's health issues. However, the final page, featuring Rika crying with Yuta's lifeless body, had a lot of strong reactions online. This was further cemented by a recent fanart of the two characters, which goes to show how a lot of people think Yuta has been killed with Sukuna.
It is very unlikely that Akutami would leave a moment as shocking as Yuta's death to take place offscreen in the Jujutsu Kaisen manga. However, the general perception is that the series is heading to the conclusion of him dying in battle against Sukuna. While this does make a lot of sense given the context and circumstances of the battle, it still creates a lot of strong reactions from the fandom.

Jujutsu Kaisen fans react to a recent Rika and Yuta fanart that is based on the final page of chapter 262
An X user, @Novalise1, made a fanart of Rika in her human form hugging and crying over Yuta's lifeless body as the latter is fighting Sukuna in Gojo's. The original panel was very similar, with the only difference being that it featured Rika as a Curse as she is crying. This led to a lot of assumptions that Yuta died in his battle with Sukuna.
However, it is worth pointing out that Gege Akutami isn't very likely to remove Yuta from the story offscreen. It is especially so, considering that he is currently in Gojo's body, and such a situation would deserve a lot more attention. However, that has not stopped the fandom from having a lot of strong reactions
"shot myself in the foot 7 times," someone said.
"I'm a non smoker and seeing this beautiful yet heartwrenching art makes me feel like the equivalent of wanting to take a cig outside," someone else said.
"Why do you hurt me so much I don't even know you," another person.
However, it is also worth pointing out that Akutami only published seven pages for this chapter because he is dealing with health issues. In that regard, there is a very good chance that Yuta will keep fighting Sukuna in the coming chapters. That being said, none of this has stopped fans from feeling affected by Rika's tears in chapter 262.
"Put that pen down," someone said.
"this artstyle is peak ngl so much emotion," another person said.
More reactions online
The coming chapters of Jujutsu Kaisen will continue what has been an established formula since Satoru Gojo's death, with several sorcerers taking turns to fight Ryomen Sukuna. In that regard, there is a good chance that the next few chapters will deal with Yuta's fight and perhaps his dying in the process, as his Copy technique cannot last more than five minutes.
"Rika lost yuuta exactly a year after she told him not to come to the other side anytime soon… my heart just clenched so bad," a person said.
"STOP PUTTING THIS ON MY TL HOW DO I MUTE A PIC," someone else said.
"I swear the gun just appeared under my chin idk how it got there..." another person said.
There is the possibility of Yuji Itadori and Aoi Todo stepping in once again, especially if Yuta manages to destroy Sukuna's Domain. It is the one technique the former two can't deal with. However, that is just fan speculation at the moment.
