Aoi Todo was one of the newest additions to the ongoing battle against Ryomen Sukuna in Jujutsu Kaisen's Shinjuku Showdown arc, which has featured the return of almost every single character who was absent from the series for a long time.

That said, among all the characters who returned from their long hiatus, including Miguel and Larue, Todo is probably the single greatest addition to the final fight of the manga. This claim can be backed up by considering everything Todo has contributed to the fight. He not only saved the remaining sorcerers from certain death, but he also paved the way for Yuji to unlock his Domain against the King of Curses.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Why Aoi Todo is the greatest addition to Sukuna vs Jujutsu Tech fight

For the longest time, fans wondered what became of Aoi Todo following the Shibuya Incident arc since he was completely sidelined from the story and wasn't even mentioned until recently. Fortunately for his fans, Todo once again arrived just in the nick of time, saving his allies from death inside Sukuna's Domain.

What's more, Todo's appearance turned the tide completely in favor of the Jujutsu Tech sorcerers, who would have undoubtedly met their end against Sukuna had Todo arrived even a few seconds late.

What fans love the most about Todo is that he always manages to appear during the direst situations and motivates his "brother," Yuji Itadori, to keep fighting even in the face of death.

In the Shibuya Incident arc, Todo had to dismember himself after being hit with one of Mahito's sure-hit attacks, following which he claimed that he had lost his Boogie Woogie cursed technique for good. He was subsequently sidelined from the story, as fans assumed he was likely spending time behind the scenes recuperating from his injury and working to get back his cursed technique.

In Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 259, following Todo's long-awaited return to the battlefield, it was revealed in a flashback sequence that Mei Mei and Todo had planned to use their respective techniques to evacuate their allies from Sukuna's Domain.

To fans' delight, Todo was revealed to have obtained an upgraded version of his cursed technique, the Re-Boogie Woogie, which saw him adopt the Vibraslap. It is a musical instrument that replaced his left arm and allowed him to activate his swapping technique roughly 50 times in a single second.

With his Re-Boogie Woogie technique, Todo completely changed the trajectory of the battle, as he trapped Sukuna along with himself and Yuji in an exchange that resembled a roulette. In fact, he caught Sukuna off-guard several times during the fight using his cursed technique, which allowed Yuji to inflict serious damage on the King of Curses.

After Yuta's second battle against Sukuna came to an end in Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 263, Todo proved his effectiveness once again, as his technique led Yuji to land a Dismantle attack on the boundary between Sukuna and Megumi's soul, which further weakened the King of Curses' hold on the latter's body.

Towards the end of the chapter, Todo tricked Sukuna again by swapping Hana Kurusu into the battlefield. She attacked the King of Curses with the Maximum Output of her Jacob's Ladder.

Although the attack did little to stop him, Todo managed to save Hana's life by guarding Sukuna's Black Flash attack with his body, which sent the two sorcerers crashing through several buildings.

Todo's mastery over his cursed technique, dedication, and fighting spirit left Sukuna in awe, as the latter complimented him as a true Jujutsu sorcerer to his very core.

Therefore, all of his contributions so far in the ongoing battle, in addition to the fact that he managed to leave a positive impression on the King of Curses, cements the claim that Aoi Todo has been the single greatest addition to Jujutsu Kaisen's final battle.
