Tower of God season 2 episode 11: Baam and Khun cross paths while Rachel's involvement with FUG's assassination attempt on Khun is exposed

Tower of God season 2 episode 11, titled A Thick and Distant Wall, aired on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 11 pm JST. In this episode, Cassano and Xia, appointed by FUG, manipulate Kang and Baam, resulting in Kang's death and forcing Baam into a fight with Ran and Novick. Khun arrives and reunites with Baam, but fails to recognize him.

Subsequently, Xia and Cassano reveal their plan, offering to save Kang and spare Khun if Baam joins them. Baam agrees, pretending to be a villain so Khun can escape, though Khun sees through it. As Baam departs with Xia and Cassano, Khun recognizes him. However, Xia triggers a massive explosion to eliminate him and his group.

The ending scenes reveal that Rachel plotted to have FUG eliminate Khun, claiming he could be a future threat. FUG spies, Apple and Michael, kill Gyetang, while Rachel stabs Dan when he refuses to betray Khun.

Tower of God season 2 episode 11 begins with Khun noting that his team has started their battle with Devil of the Right Arm. He recalls his first encounter with Ran and contemplates the team's growth.

However, Khun is puzzled to find Apple's name connected to a bug in his Lighthouse. Meanwhile, Baam and Xia head toward the fight location. As Cassano gets trapped under rubble, a reckless Kang Horyang attacks Ran and Novick.

However, during the confrontation, Cassano's devil unexpectedly delivers a fatal blow to Kang, causing him to collapse. Baam and Xia arrive at this time. Xia claims Kang is dead and accuses Ran and Novick of killing him. When they try to explain, Xia insists she saw the events through her Lighthouse.

Enraged, Baam attacks them, with Xia's assistance. The two, struggling against his combined powers of a Wave Controller and Light Bearer, are astonished by Baam's strength and ability to control multiple Baangs. Soon, Baam overwhelms and defeats them.


Tower of God season 2 episode 11: FUG disrupts Baam and Khun's reunion and aims to eliminate Khun

In Tower of God season 2 episode 11, Baam confronts Ran and Novick, demanding to know why they killed his friend. They attempt to explain and direct him to check under the rubble where Cassano is. However, Xia tries to manipulate Baam, urging him to kill them before they can retaliate. At this moment, Khun arrives.

Baam recognizes him while Khun notices Xia, the bunny-eared woman. As Khun joins Ran and Novick, Xia threatens to blow up the site with explosives she had planted earlier. Her Lighthouse flashes a message to Baam, addressing him as Slayer Candidate Jue Viole Grace, warning him to follow their demands or everyone will die.

Baam quickly realizes that FUG is behind the scheme. Cassano, under Xia's orders, reveals himself and picks up Kang. The message informs Baam that if he joins them, Kang will be saved; if not, two of his friends will die. Xia explains that FUG wants to eliminate standout Regulars like Khun to prevent future opposition, exposing there were spies in Khun's group.

Khun quickly realizes that the traitors are Apple and Michael. To save Khun, Baam pretends to be a villain, claiming he intended to kill Khun but now sees him as non-threatening and gives him a chance to escape. Reflecting on their past, Baam is saddened by how things have changed.

Khun realizes Baam's true intention to let him escape and questions his real goal. Though impressed by Khun's insight, Baam declines to reveal more.

Tower of God season 2 episode 11 sees Novick and Ran attempting to seize the controller from Xia amidst the distraction, but Baam intervenes and stops them. Khun observes Baam's abilities and grows suspicious.

Baam then tells Xia to leave, agreeing to go with her, but warns that if they ever endanger his friends' lives again, he will retaliate. Angered by Baam's threat, Xia triggers the explosion while acknowledging Baam as her god.

As they depart, Baam urges Khun to flee. Khun recalls the message from Emile that Baam is alive and realizes the person in front of him might be Baam. Baam's group departs from the Hand of Arlen in a golem, just as a massive explosion rocks the site, leaving Khun and his team trapped inside.


Tower of God season 2 episode 11 closing events: Rachel's connection to FUG reveals her as the mastermind behind Khun's assassination plot

In the ending scenes of Tower of God season 2 episode 11, Apple and Michael are seen with Gyetang's dead body and a captured Dan. They plan to kill Dan, labeling him useless, but Rachel intervenes, asking them to spare him.

She offers Dan a chance to join her, to be her legs, and climb the Tower together. However, Dan rejects her, realizing that Rachel is the one who asked FUG to kill Khun. Enraged, Rachel repeatedly stabs Dan, insisting she did nothing wrong.

The episode closes with Baam weeping over Khun, who was caught in the explosion, questioning what led to this tragedy.
