Tower of God season 2 episode 2 opening events: Other Regulars enter as the second screening test begins
Tower of God season 2 episode 2 opens with a flashback where Baam and Rachel discuss the Tower's history. Returning to the present, Baam and the other Regulars await additional test takers for the second stage. They chat while waiting, while Baam remembers his time with Rachel.
Soon, other Regulars arrive, including familiar faces like the delivery boy and money lender Kim Lurker from the previous episode, along with Yihwa, the flamethrower woman whom Wangnan encountered during his last test. Wangnan is unsettled by Yihwa's presence and tells the others that she belongs to the prestigious Yeon family.
Lurker informs Wangnan that Prince, the son of their company's president, is also taking the test, and his father has bribed the exam proctor to ensure Prince's success. Lurker expresses sympathy to Wangnan as Prince intends to fail the other test takers in the upcoming round.
In Tower of God season 2 episode 2, Love, the proctor, explains the rules for the second test: a physical strength evaluation using a Shinsu measuring device, where only eight can advance. Wangnan, ranking 10th, worries about failing. Meanwhile, Prince and Lurker make a bet that whoever ranks first will win Yihwa.
Kang Horyang from episode 1 scores 6350 points, resuming his lead. However, Robdevil, one of Prince's associates, swiftly overtakes him with 11988 points. Yihwa subsequently takes the test, but slips and falls on the instrument.
Despite this mishap, she scores an impressive 22384 points, reclaiming the top position temporarily. Yet, Prince uses buffs from his companions and scores 25521 points, reclaiming Yihwa.
Tower of God season 2 episode 2: Baam emerges as the strongest Ranker while his identity and mission as a FUG is revealed
In Tower of God season 2 episode 2, the last man from episode 1 dismisses their boasting and points out Baam as the strongest Regular present. Baam takes the test and effortlessly scores 134769 points with overflowing Shinsu, catching everyone's attention. Proctor Love notices Baam's FUG crest. Wangnan, fearing failure, starts crying.
Surprisingly, Love asks Baam, the winner, to choose seven other Regulars to advance with him to the next stage, shocking everyone. Wangnan sees this as his opportunity and pleads with Baam to choose him, joined by others from the opening episode who also request to be picked. Yihwa suggests choosing only powerful individuals, but Baam refuses, stating none of them are worthy teammates.
When Love insists they must proceed as a team for the next test, Yihwa questions Baam's FUG crest, calling it fake. Baam confirms its authenticity and reveals himself as Jue Viole Grace, a FUG slayer candidate whose mission is to kill members of the Jahad family.
He declares them enemies and unsuitable as teammates. Love proposes a game: if he wins, Baam must comply with the rules, but if Baam wins, he can proceed alone. Baam agrees, and Love announces a break until the game preparations are complete.
Tower of God season 2 episode 2 closing events: Third test delayed as the proctor Love deals with Viole
In the ending scenes of Tower of God season 2 episode 2, Wangnan reflects on Baam's mission and his future. Meanwhile, Yihwa considers cooperating with Baam despite his affiliation with FUG. She mistakes Baam for a woman and invites "her" to shower together, urging Baam to team up with her. Baam heads to the men’s washroom instead, leaving Yihwa puzzled.
In the men's lockers, Wangnan searches for his lost ring with the Jahad crest. Baam returns it, having found it earlier on the floor. Baam questions Wangnan about his connection to Jahad, but Wangnan dismisses it as a fashion trend. Baam, unfamiliar with such a trend, returns the ring without pressing further, cautioning Wangnan to take care of it as it appears important.
The narrative concludes with the proctor, Love meeting the test director, expressing determination to handle Viole, emphasizing there’s no other option.
