Tower of God season 2 episode 25 opening events unveil the truth about Emile as Khun rescues Hwaryun
Tower of God season 2 episode 25 begins with Cassano standing outside Emile's room. A voice from inside begs for freedom. As Cassano loads a tube from the room, Traveler approaches him. Cassano explains that Emile was merely a tool used by the Workshop to lure in research subjects, revealing that Traveler is one of her victims.
He also discloses that the Workshop and FUG conducted two types of experiments: one to turn a living person into an Ignition Weapon, and the other to dissolve someone who had been turned into an Ignition Weapon. Emile falls under the latter category.
While Dr. Sophia preserved Emile, the Workshop used her to control the masses in the Tower. Upon learning that Emile is not alive, Traveler breaks down, while Cassano vows to use her powers to bring change to the Tower.
In the Baam-Khun-Rak trio's battle against Reflejo, Khun instructs Rak to attack Reflejo. Using his lighthouse and Rak's projectile, their coordinated attack creates an opportunity for Khun to use the White Heavenly Mirror to trap Hwaryun inside the blade and rescue her.
