Tower of God season 2 finale, titled The Dawn of Departure, aired on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at 11 pm JST. The final episode of season 2 wraps up the Workshop Battle Arc and sets the stage for the upcoming Hell Train Arc. In episode 26, Po Bidau Gustang makes his debut, hinting at Wangnan's true identity as a Prince of Jahad.

The episode also marks Baam's long-awaited reunion with all his friends and features Baam and Endorsi going on a date. Meanwhile, Khun joins Baam's group but begins a search for Rachel, who is revealed in the closing scene to be working with Cassano's group and has obtained Emile.

The Tower of God season 2 finale begins with Varagarv and Ruan Mei retreating from the battlefield. Meanwhile, a new character confronts Madoraco as he takes care of Io and Funk. This figure is revealed to be Po Bidau Gustang, the head of one of the Ten Families, who declares his intent to uphold fairness in the tournament.

Elsewhere, Baam finally reunites with his friends, but a FUG Ranker interrupts their escape. However, the two Rankers soon retreat after telling Lero Ro that they've summoned a monster. Shortly after, Team Ramenmaru (Shibisu's group) is announced as the tournament winner.

Gustang later speaks with a mysterious individual, mentioning the blow FUG has suffered and hinting at the identity of the true Prince of Jahad. While he avoids naming the prince, the narrative shifts to Wangnan, suggesting his potential as the prince.

Later, Yihwa notices Wangnan's Jahad ring when he regains consciousness. At the Wolhaiksong resort, Shibisu entrusts Baam's care to Wangnan, revealing that their teams will part ways in three days as Shibisu's group prepares for the D-Rank Regulars test. Meanwhile, Chang and Yihwa observe Wangnan closely, suspecting something unusual about him.

In Tower of God season 2 finale, Ro, Hatzling, and the others reflect on recent events. Ro explains that the upcoming D-Rank test involves boarding the Hell Train bound for the Hidden Floor. Meanwhile, Baam receives a mysterious call.

The focus then shifts to Jinsung meeting Karaka, exposing the latter as the mastermind behind FUG's actions during the Workshop Battle. Karaka accuses Jinsung of manipulating his plans to ensure Baam could secure the thorn while simultaneously protecting him. Before they part ways, Jinsung warns Karaka that Baam will likely come for him soon.

In a subtle moment, the narrative reveals Karaka wearing a Jahad ring identical to the one Wangnan possesses.


Tower of God season 2 finale: Baam and Endorsi's date begins while Khun investigates Rachel's whereabouts

Tower of God season 2 finale shifts focus to Baam and Endorsi's date. Khun initially plans to observe them discreetly but decides against it after noticing that Yihwa, Prince, and Rak are already spying on the pair. Leaving the task to them, he departs.

Baam and Endorsi enjoy a movie and share a meal. However, Endorsi catches sight of their observers and takes Baam elsewhere to get some privacy. Relieved to see Baam returning to his old self, Endorsi asks about his future plans and whether he'll continue chasing Rachel.

She also explains the concept of a date to the inexperienced Baam, ending their time with a kiss on his cheek and requesting that he remember their date until they meet again.

Meanwhile, Khun meets Novick and Ran, announcing his decision to join Baam's group. He assigns Novick, Ran, Dan, and Xia a new mission, appointing Novick as leader: to track down Rachel.

In the closing scenes of Tower of God season 2 finale, Baam and Khun discuss their future plans, agreeing to reunite with their allies once everyone achieves D-Rank. While Khun confesses he isn't ready to leave the next day, Baam resolves to become even stronger but laments not meeting Mazino before continuing their journey.

The group then checks on Horyang, who remains unconscious. Dr. Sophia reveals that Cassano stole Horyang's devil, leaving him in his current state. Beta explains that with two devils now under his control, Cassano has become complete, likely surpassing both himself and Baam in strength. He also warns of potential danger if Emile awakens under Cassano's influence.

Seeking guidance, the group consults Hwaryun, who directs them to board the Hell Train on the 35th Floor, where the D-Rank test will take place, stating they'll encounter Cassano there.

Before setting out, Khun gives Baam a haircut at his request. Meanwhile, Hwaryun reflects on Rachel's mysterious role in the Tower, pondering what Baam will do when they inevitably meet again.

In the final scene, Cassano and Traveler meet up with Rachel's group. It's revealed that Cassano has been working alongside Rachel, who now possesses Emile. Season 2 ends as Rachel declares her goal is "to save the tower."
