In the latest episode, Mio faces a challenging battle against Left, the mutant Mildie dragon, while Sofia confronts Gritonia’s hero, Tomoki, revealing his most powerful attacks.

As Makoto arrives in Limia, Sofia, and Lancer set off to defeat him. Meanwhile, Makoto joins the fight in Limia, rescuing their hero, Hibiki, from Io’s attack. Seeing Hibiki, Makoto recognizes her true identity from their past world.

Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy season 2 episode 21 begins with a brief recap of episode 20 as the goddess sends Makoto to Limia to assist the hero in fighting demons and reclaiming Fort Stellar. Simultaneously, the demizens wage war on the demons to reclaim Kaleneon under Makoto’s orders.

The episode then focuses on the demizen army battling the demons in Kaleneon. Mio’s fight with Left, the mutant Mildie dragon, takes center stage. Mio struggles against his reflective abilities. She attempts an attack inspired by guns, firing a magic bullet at Left, but his reflective power sends the bullet back at Mio.

Despite being injured, Mio heals herself and, fascinated by the attack, decides to persist with it, firing multiple bullets simultaneously at Left.

The episode briefly shows Tomoe commenting on Mio’s ongoing fight, expressing frustration about fighting small fries while Mio faces a stronger opponent. As her battle nears conclusion, she creates a border, noting that demon reinforcements will be delayed since they are preoccupied with battles in Limia and Gritonia.

The episode then rewinds, then rewinds time, showing the demon army marching towards the royal capital—Rona comments on the beginning of the fight. Sofia Bulga and Lancer enter the scene. Sofia comments on Rona’s sneaky moves while reminding her that they are collaborators, not subordinates. Lancer asks Rona what she has discovered.

Rona shares information about Gritonia’s hero, Tomoki, revealing his abilities and his different fighting styles during daytime and nighttime, mentioning his superior regenerative abilities under the moonlight. However, Rona emphasizes that their primary target is Limia’s hero, Hibiki. Lancer informs her that Princess Lily has returned and is now commanding the imperial army.

Surprised by the news, Rona suggests they leave immediately and head to Fort Stellar. However, Sofia stays behind, expressing her and Lancer’s desire to fight Gritonia’s hero.

Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy season 2 episode 21, then shows Tomoki and his followers joining the battle against the demons. Sofia tells Lancer she’ll fight the hero at full strength to warm up for the “Devil,” likely referring to Makoto. Sofia confronts Tomoki, announcing her new title as vice-general of the demon army and challenging him.

Tomoki’s attempt to use his Devil Eye fails. The fight begins as Sofia injures their dragon. Despite getting trapped, Sofia invites them to attack her. In Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy season 2 episode 21, Tomoki attacks Sofia, but she crushes him and his party effortlessly. To protect his followers, Tomoki makes a deal with Sofia: he’d show her his best move in exchange for sending his injured followers back to the capital. Lancer enters the scene and teleports Tomoki’s followers away as per Sofia’s orders.

Tomoki then uses his ultimate move, the evil flame, which causes an enormous blast. But Sofia and Lancer remain unscathed while Tomoki loses consciousness. Sofia remarks that Tomoki’s attack is nastier than the Devil’s arrow, noting it’s a brute-force move that depletes the user’s life force, unfit for a hero.

Sofia reports to Rona about their fight. When Rona asks if they killed Tomoki, Sofia lies, saying he escaped. As they discuss taking a break, something shocks Sofia, leaving Rona puzzled.

They see the goddess’ light in the sky at a distance. Lancer says it’s ‘him,’ referring to Makoto. Therefore, they plan to go to Limia to defeat him to get revenge for their previous fight. This new development frustrates Rona, as it may disrupt their plans.

The narrative then returns to the present. Makoto and Shiki arrive in Limia. As they plan to conceal their identities, Shiki tells Makoto to use something Mio prepared.

In the concluding scenes of Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy season 2 episode 21, the focus shifts to Hibiki and her followers strategizing to retreat while struggling against the demon army. Hibiki expresses her concerns for Ilumgand’s safety. They decide to prioritize reclaiming the capital and recall troops from Fort Stellar.

However, Demon General Io intercepts them, preventing their escape. Hibiki and her party engage Io, but their attacks are ineffective. Makoto arrives in a hero suit Mio designed as Io prepares to strike Hibiki. The episode ends with Makoto saving Hibiki as he recognizes her true identity from their previous world.
