Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy season 2 finale opening events: Makoto returns to the Subspace

Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy season 2 finale begins from where the previous episode ended, with Makoto and Shiki returning to the Subspace after fulfilling the goddess’ requests. They reunite with Tomoe, Mio, and the rest of the Subspace citizens. Makoto listens to the battle report from Kaleneon, surprised and relieved to hear about the minimal losses while successfully reclaiming Kaleneon.

Tomoe reports that only Mio faced a formidable opponent. Out of boredom, Tomoe created a chasm to serve as a border for the area. Mio shows Makoto a small lizard, explaining it’s the former demon army general, Left. The narrative briefly recounts Mio’s fight with Left, where she consumed him and his weapons, stopping halfway when he was reduced to a tiny lizard.

Tomoe inquires if Makoto has fulfilled the goddess’ requests. Makoto confirms, mentioning it went smoothly and that he also defeated the dragon slayer Sofia Bulga. He adds that Shiki took down Lancer, and thanks to Shiki's quick thinking, Makoto can now speak common. Tomoe and Mio become jealous, thinking Shiki received all the attention, and drag him away.

Makoto dismisses the meeting and instructs everyone to prepare for a celebration party soon.

In Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy season 2 finale, Lime informs Makoto that the Academy headmaster has summoned him. Makoto returns to Rotsgard, encounters two mutants, and has Mondo and Lime eliminate them. He decides to deal with the demons’ demihuman collaborators later. Makoto then comes across Sairitsu, who promises to visit him later.

Shiki sends a letter to Hibiki. Makoto thanks Tomoe for bringing all four seasons to the Subspace. Reuniting with his students, Makoto has them help clean rubble and advises them on handling different situations. He informs them that Shifu and Yuno are assisting Mr. Rembrandt at the Merchant Guild, but the narrative shifts to Mr. Rembrandt refusing their help and telling them to rest.

Makoto tells his students that rebuilding the city takes priority, putting lessons on hold. They find him odd for declining a permanent teaching position. He then meets Estella, who introduces him to the brothel’s boss, who turns out to be Zara, the Merchant Guild leader. Zara thanks Makoto for saving the women and praises his abilities, offering free brothel entry, which flusters Makoto.

Next, Makoto meets Limia’s Prince Joshua, who mentions his secret (that he’s actually a woman), which Makoto accidentally discovered before. Makoto promises to keep it safe in return for nothing. Lastly, Makoto talks with Luto about his battle with Sofia, revealing she’s still alive and that he will claim his reward once Luto finishes her off.
