Uzumaki episode 2- The love story of Kazunori and Yoriko
Uzumaki episode 2 showed two high school students, Kazunori and Yoriko, sitting inside a shed as they mourned their parents' conflict, which forbade them from making their relationship public. Their discomfort grew when they saw two snakes coiled up around each other emerge from a crevice.
Later in the episode, Kazunori was getting beaten by Yoriko's parents for staying close to their daughter. Fortunately, Kirie arrived in time and saved him. Kazunori then stated that his and Yoriko's parents were 'twisted' and that they were thinking of running away from Kurouzu Village to make their love a reality.
In the last part of the episode, as these two tried running away, their parents stopped them. However, Kirie and Shuichi helped them, allowing them to reach the beach. With no sight of escape visible, Kazunori started coiling his body and told Yoriko to do the same. As they coiled their bodies together, they finally became 'one' and escaped into the nearby sea.
Uzumaki episode 2- The spiral hair and Kirie's devoted lover
Later in the episode, when Kirie visited Shuichi's mother, he mentioned that her hair had started growing and she might need a haircut. The next day at the school, she was surprised to see her hair transforming into a spiral. Kyoko, one of Kirie's classmates, helped tie her hair but it unraveled during the class.
Kirie then visited a hair salon, but when the barber tried cutting her hair, he was attacked by her hair. As days passed, her hair reached an unbelievable height. Moreover, Kyoko appeared with a similar hairstyle and stated that she wouldn't be beaten by Kirie.
Kyoko then tried choking the female protagonist, but Shuichi appeared and cut off Kirie's hair, putting her back to normal. Kyoko, on the other hand, was sucked dry by her hair.
Earlier in Uzumaki episode 2, Kirie was getting stalked by Mitsuru Yamaguchi, the boy who claimed to be in love with the female protagonist. When Kirei's hair reached an unbelievable level of growth, Mitsuru called the female protagonist out to the open and gifted her something.
Kirie yet again rejected him and said that she already had a boyfriend. Mitsuru asked her to at least open her gift, but the female protagonist was adamant that she wouldn't fall for any of his advances.
To prove his love, Mitsuru jumped onto the road and claimed that he would stop a car with his power of love. Unfortunately, he was squished in the front tires of a car, and his gift opened to reveal a clown.
Uzumaki episode 2- Katayama and the Black Lighthouse
Katayama, who started coming under the spiral curse in episode 1, was now slowly becoming a snail, with his back forming the shape of a spiral. Later in the episode, Katayama climbed the school building as a snail, and his body metamorphosized before the entire school body. He was then transferred to a cage outside of school.
Tsumaru, the boy who bullied Katayama, also metamorphosized into a snail after touching him. These two then started mating (as snails as hermaphrodites) and laid eggs. Their homeroom teacher, Yokota-sensei, smashed the eggs to stop the curse from spreading, but the next day when he entered the class, Yokota-sensei had also become a snail.
After the death of Shuichi's father, the Black Lighthouse of Kurouzu began emitting light at dusk every day, despite being shut down for a long time. Kirie's brother and some of his classmates were interested in it and visited it with Kirie. As they climbed the lighthouse through its round stairs, they started getting under the spiral curse.
Kirie encountered some dead bodies when she reached the top and saw her brother on the top. As the sun was about to set, she asked her brother and his classmates to run before the lighthouse lit up. As they ran down the stairs, the sun was gone, and the lighthouse lit up. One boy fell on the stairs, and even though Kirie tried helping him, they were all engulfed in the lighthouse's light.
