List of Characters in the Violet Evergarden series
The list contains most of the characters alongside their role, and they either have a major or minor role in the series.
Violet Evergarden
Violet Evergarden is the main character of the series. Violet is an ex-soldier who, during the war, was regarded as a weapon due to her spectacular martial arts skills. Post-war, she turned into an Auto Memory Doll; such a job consisted of writing letters for people who could not write for themselves.
Violet was an orphan, adopted by the military, and trained as a soldier. She had no emotion and extraordinary fighting strength. In combat, she was under Major Gilbert Bougainvillea, who handled her very delicately.
Gilbert Bougainvillea
Gilbert is one of the main characters in the "Violet Evergarden" series. He is a very kind and gentle military officer who contributed a lot to Violet’s life. In battle, he is Violet's general, and he often treats her as an object of observation and not an actual weapon.
