The Acid Quirk allows her to create corrosive liquid from her skin, with the skin being naturally resistant to its corrosive properties. The only exception to this seems to be her Alma Ultimate Move, which appears to damage her skin due to how concentrated it is.

Mina’s Quirk is also responsible for her unique purple-pink skin pigment, but the official series hasn't provided any explanation for this. The acid is shown to be gray in the anime, but the official colored manga artwork shows it to be purple. For example, the Alma move increases the corrosiveness to such a level that even one use dehydrates her and seems to injure the areas of her body it’s expelled from. The change in her eye and skin color after its usage further shows that it hurts her. This resistance can also be lost if she continuously produces acid for longer than a certain period of time, since her skin would gradually lose this resistance in such a scenario.
