Season 7 of My Hero Academia concluded emphatically on October 12, 2024. Spanning 21 episodes, the latest season of Kohei Horikoshi's series took the anime world by storm when it kicked off its longest and most brutal arc, the Final War Arc.

In an attempt to boost their chances of defeating All For One (AFO) and his army of Villains, the Heroes used a divide-and-conquer strategy. They cleverly segregated the Villain horde and transported them to different locations before defeating them individually.

This arc features breathtaking fights in Deku vs Shigaraki and a younger AFO vs Armored All Might. With the anime concluding midway between these bouts, interested fans can pick up the manga in chapter 399 following My Hero Academia season 7.

My Hero Academia manga can be continued from chapter 399 after season 7

The anime ended midway through Armoured All Might's fight against a younger AFO while glimpsing Deku and Shigaraki engaged in a tussle. This season covered a major bit of the manga - chapters 329 to 398.

Studio Bones did a stellar job of bringing to life the pages from Horikoshi's fantasy superhero manga. Visual effects, background scores, and crisp animation made each scene all the more impactful and emotional. The pacing was also well-thought-out, each episode covering about 3 to 4 chapters at a time, which allowed it to adapt a considerable bit of the source material.

As is the trend with anime, studios tend to supplement seasons of the show with anime-only scenes to enhance the overall impact and continuity. My Hero Academia did not have many anime-only scenes, mostly preferring to stay true to the source material. But that is not to say that there are absolutely no such scenes in the season.

Season 7 covered the Star and Stripe Arc, the U.A. Traitor Arc, and the initial bit of the Final War Arc. Viewers finally saw the United States of America's No. 1 Pro Hero, Star and Stripe in action. Motivated by All Might to become a Hero, her Quirk New Order caused ripples of interest in the fandom. However, her time in the spotlight was short-lived, as she did not survive the bout with Shigaraki.

The traitor betraying U.A. High, Yuga Aoyama, was also revealed. Under an extremely compromising position by AFO, he and his family had no option but to obey. However, he made up for it when he was able to lure out the Demon King and his army to face the Heroes in a final face-off. Finally, season 7 set the stage for the Final War Arc, establishing the odds and what the Heroes might fight for.
