Delicious in Dungeon manga series received an anime adaptation in the Spring 2024 Anime Season, which ended on June 13, 2024, with its 24th episode. Fortunately for fans, its sequel was announced immediately after the airing of the finale episode, but no release date has been announced yet.

The season ended with Laois and his group unable to retrieve Falin from the claws of the dungeon because after they resurrected her, she was transformed into a dragon. But Laois being the optimistic man he is, will never give up until he saves his sister.

With no release date announced for the sequel, fans can't wait to see the adventures of Laois and his group continue. Fortunately, fans can witness the next story by reading the Delicious in Dungeon manga from where the anime ended. The anime ended with the adaptation of the Six Floor arc, and the sequel would begin the next arc, the First Floor Interlude Arc.

Delicious in Dungeon manga can be read from chapter 53 after the anime

Episode 24 of the anime adapted chapters 51 and 52 of the Delicious in Dungeon manga series. These are the last chapters of the Sixth Floor arc. The first season was adapted until the middle of volume 8 (52 chapters).

After getting teleported to the start of the dungeon by their crewmate Falin, who was now swallowed by the dragon, Laois, Falin's brother, is adamant about saving his sister. Unfortunately, not everyone shared the same notion.

Most of the party members left, and only two members — Marcille the elf and Chilchuk the half-foot — were willing to help Laois retrieve Falin. As soon as they reentered the dungeon, they faced the biggest problem anyone would: edible food. But they had to survive by eating bland rations and whatever they could get their hands on.

Fortunately, they crossed paths with Senshi, a dwarf expert in cooking dungeon monsters. Although initially scared, especially Marcille, Laois' party soon got used to eating Senshi's monster cuisine because he prepared it with utmost care and love. While eating the monsters, they reached the dragon, who had already digested Falin.

Marcille had her hand in black magic, which she used to resurrect Falin, and everything was back to normal. But things turned out darker than expected. Over the night, Marcille turned into a dragon, and the dungeon master, Thistle, was now after the Laois group.

Laois' group still didn't give up and continued pursuing Falin with optimism. Another party member, Izutsumi the Tall-man, joined Laois' party while they progressed to the next floors. With the dungeon getting more complicated by every floor, will Laois' party be able to save Falin before her body metamorphosizes into a true dragon?
