The Phantom Troupe is a group of criminals and assassins in the anime and manga series Hunter x Hunter, with around 15 members at the start of the series, which is now down to 10 members.

The leader of the Phantom Troupe is Chrollor Lucifer, who is the strongest of them and also the most intelligent one. Every member possesses different Nine abilities, and all the members have a spider tattoo.

Phantom Troupe has a major part in the Hunter x Hunter series, which follows Gon Freecss, who has been abandoned by his father, Ging Freecss, who is a legendary hunter and creator of Green Island. Gon went on a journey to find his father and also became the best Hunter in the world.

Chrollor founded the Phantom Troupe alongside Franklin, Uvogin, Machi, Pakunoda, Feitan, Nobunaga, and Shalnark. The date of the foundation is unknown, but it was founded way before the Hunter Exam.

Rules To Be In Phantom Troupe

Phantom Troupe is based on the spider way as they have one head that is considered the best among the group, and the other acts as 12 legs of a spider that are ranked equally. However, the rule to be in the Troupe is a person needs to defeat one of the members to replace him in the group, but if the person is very well known and strong then he can join the troupe only if there is a vacancy in it just like Hisoka and Kalluto joined as a replacement. Every member of the troupe must have a spider that with the number they are given to show their faith in the Troupe.
