Who is the First Division Captain of Kaiju no. 8?

Known as "Japan's Strongest Anti-Kaiju Combatant," General Narumi is the eighth captain of the Defense Force's First Division in Kaiju no. 8 series.

Gen Narumi is one of the main characters in the series. He is known for his fighting skills, keen tactical understanding, and strong sense of duty. Besides fighting with kaiju, Narumi's responsibilities also include team leadership and protection. He is an important character in the series' battle against the terrifying threats because of his experience and strategic thinking.

Gen Narumi’s Powers and Abilities

Before enlisting in the Defense Force, Gen had the extraordinary capacity to absorb energy from kaiju tissue and quickly transform a dead kaiju's severed limb into a weapon. Uniorgans modified for use in fighting suits are the only ones capable of this special ability. He was able to cut a kaiju's limb before it could react due to his superior reflexes, speed, and instincts, which allowed him to evade an assault that was headed directly for him. Gen possesses immense strength, speed, reflexes, and endurance along with heightened durability.

Powers

Foresight: After regularly inserting the outer-shell light spectacles produced from Kaiju No. 1's retinas into his own eyes, Gen activated the RT-0001 weapon. He can see brain impulses running through the bodies of living things with this weapon, making his strikes "inescapable" and enabling him to anticipate enemy's strike. However, he cannot predict the movements of lifeless substances, such as water.

He gains much more power when he puts on the Numbers Weapon 1 fighting suit. Through years of training, Gen was able to refine his RT-0001 weapon to the point where it can now sense everything around his Numbers Weapon 1 combat suit, including temperature fluctuations, terrain, and electron movements. This enables him to see ahead of time with crystal-clear mental vision. He truly holds the ability to look into the future because of his advanced weapon.

High Unleashed Combat Power: Gen can use a significant portion of the power in his fighting suit. Despite having never worn a battle suit before, he possessed a 24% unleashed combat power when he first joined the Defense Force. Years later, at the rank of captain, he can release a maximum of 98% of his combat strength in a standard Defense Force battle suit.

Abilities

Bayonet Mastery: Gen exhibits his outstanding ability with a bayonet to kill kaiju when he easily fights a large honju-level kaiju with a fortitude level of 7.2 on his own. He demonstrates his skill as a master marksman by using the blade to slash and sear through a kaiju's body, making it extremely difficult for them to regenerate. He can also shoot enemies with lethal accuracy and precision. He also uses his bayonet as a shield to protect himself from attacks.

Martial Arts Mastery: Since she was a young child, Gen has been an exceptional athlete and martial artist. He received combat training from Isao Shinomiya in hand-to-hand, swordsmanship, and sharpshooting after enlisting in the Defense Force.

Leadership Skills: Despite his clumsy and immature attitude, Gen has shown exceptional leadership abilities as a captain, commanding his division with total authority.

Keen Intellect: Despite his odd and childlike behavior, Gen is a very intelligent guy. As a teenager, he excelled academically and was ranked first in his class in the Defense Forces. In combat, he can remain composed and gather important insights about the enemy's activities, even amid a big crisis.
