In the pre-timeskip, Kashin Koji had quite a secretive role. While he was tasked with defeating Jigen, he could not act like he was against the Kara leader. Hence, for the majority of the time, he acted quite enigmatic, keeping his actions hidden from other Kara members.

This was especially evident when he infiltrated the Hidden Leaf Village and learned about Boruto's Karma. Nevertheless, he wasn't shown sharing the information with any Kara members. As for his identity as a Jiraiya clone, it was revealed to fans during his fight against Isshiki. However, the Shinobi from Hidden Leaf Village never learned about it.

As for post-timeskip, Kashin Koji has become Boruto's aide and newest teacher, helping him in his quest to defeat Code and the Divine Trees. While he has not made any active movements in the manga, he has constantly supported the protagonist through scientific ninja tools and guided him over what needs to be done.

The reason he took on such a passive role is that after his fight against Jigen, he acquired his Shinjutsu ability, Prescience. This ability allowed him to see all possible futures.

As one could predict, considering his origin as a Jiraiya clone, Kashin Koji could use all the ninjutsu that Jiraiya could use but at a greater scale. Similar to Jiraiya, he could use different versions of Rasengan, summon toads, and use his hair for attack and defense. In addition, he could use a Space-Time Ninjutsu and carve seals to summon eternally burning natural fire called True Fire of Samadhi.

As for Senjutsu, Kashin Koji was much more adept at it than Jiraiya. This is because he could instantly access it with a perfect balance of chakra and natural energy. Using the same, enhanced his physical and sensor abilities.

Later in the story, after Kashin Koji's fight with Jigen, he finally manifested his Shinjutsu ability drawn from Shibai Otsutsuki's remains. The ability is called Prescience and it allows Koji to look into all possible futures. This is how he figured out Omnipotence's effects and that Boruto was Naruto's son and not Kawaki.

Using this ability, Kashin Koji took on the role of Boruto's teacher, teaching him all the abilities he would learn in the future and pushing him in the direction most favorable for the planet's survival.
