Dandadan season 1 might end on the Evil Eye arc before introducing its fourth main character, Kinta Sakata. While he might be the least important protagonist, his impact on the series was crucial, especially in the Kaiju arc. His introduction will make the protagonist's group bigger and increase the chances of finding Okarun's final kintama.

Kinta is the main protagonist of the Kaiju Arc and the fifth person added to the protagonist 'kintama-finding' group. During this arc, kintama piloted the mecha Buddha (the Great Kinta Bodhisattva) and modified it to his version that was more suited for battle. While he is the only person with no superhuman abilities, his impact against the occult creatures was crucial.

Kinta Sakata's role in Dandadan

In Dandadan chapter 64, Kinta Sakata was introduced while talking to Okarun. He wanted to know the secret behind attracting pretty girls (as Okarun had Aira and Momo in his group). Unfortunately, he couldn't get any answers as Okarun claimed that neither Aira nor Momo had a romantic interest in him.

Kinta later noticed Okarun talking to Momo, and during their talk, he heard about the 'kintama-searching.' This developed a misunderstanding in his mind, and he thought that talking inappropriately would attract Momo. So, he did the same during one class and pissed off Momo.

During this time, the Apartment Complex Ghost also started haunting the protagonist's group. He lured them by using Okarun's kintama and ultimately showed his true form of a kaiju (dinosaur). So, to counter this new creature, the protagonist group had to think of something big.

To defeat the kaiju, the group had to utilize Momo's house and convert it into a gigantic creature. During this process, Kinta played a key role in constructing a giant robot. However, the house ended up becoming a 'Buddha design' because the nanoskin (that was used to construct it) went haywire. Everyone titled this creature as the Great Kinta Bodhisattva.

Unfortunately, this model wasn't fit for battle. So, while piloting it against the Kaiju, Kinta modified it for battle (creating a Zeta version), which proved crucial to the win against the Kaiju. After this incident, Kinta became an active part of the protagonists' 'Kintama-searching' team.

As already explained, Kinta might be the only person from the protagonist's group who couldn't use any supernatural powers (Like Okarun's Turbo Granny powers, Aira's Acrobatic Silky powers, Jiji's Evil Eye powers, and Momo's powers as medium). However, his intellect proved wonders against the Kaiju in Dandadan's Kaiju arc.

Kinta modifying the Great Kinta Bodhisattva (Zeta version) was crucial to the win against the occult creature given how the simple version wasn't compatible for battle. While his added features to the Great Kinta Bodhisattva were useless (like the addition of glasses), they helped Kinta imagine a win against the Kaiju.

Some of the key moves that were crucial to the defeat of the Kaiju included Daedalus Acha (upward kick) and Super Electrowave Spin (a roundabout dive-kick that knocked out the Kaiju's horns).
