While there are many beloved aspects of mangaka Yuki Tabata’s Black Clover manga, one of the most so is the series’ varied humor that shines in many unique ways. One particular example is the series’ humor centered on romantic endeavors, such as with Yami Sukehiro and Charlotte Roselei and Asta and various women in the series.

One such woman is Mimosa Vermillion, whom Asta is very close with. However, some fans often ask “who is Mimosa’ love interest” due to the relationship she has with not just Asta, but others in the series as well. Mimosa Vermillion’s love interest in Black Clover is indeed Asta, but she’s unlucky in love when it comes to the young Magic Knight for a few key reasons.

The two first met when the Black Bulls and Golden Dawn were tasked with exploring a dungeon together. After they were attacked by Mars and other Diamond Kingdom Magic Knights, Asta saved Mimosa from danger.

This was the start of her romantic feelings for him, later elaborating to Noelle Silva that she likes Asta because of his determination, body, and personality. While the commentary on his physical appearance may seem shallow, Mimosa’s love for Asta is clearly deep and genuine. This genuinity shines through in her actions, which see her constantly trying to get stronger to stand by Asta and use him as his motivation.

The first is Rebecca Scarlet, whom Asta went on a date with as a part of the Black Bulls’ series of blind dates as a squad. While Rebecca is disinterested at first, they begin bonding over being older siblings before Asta defends her from a drunk bar patron. Even Mimosa’s own family members are pursuing the protagonist for themselves, as is the case with her cousin, Noelle Silva.
