Every character in this series is unique, boasting various Quirks that help them on the battlefield. However, there is one character in particular that fans have taken an interest in, and that is Ordinary Woman.
Given the peculiar name, there is one question that fans have been asking - who is the Ordinary Woman in My Hero Academia? To know more about her, let us visit the anime as well as a few illustrations and notes that Horikoshi uploaded during the course of the series.
Understanding more about the Ordinary Woman in
My Hero Academia
Who is the Ordinary Woman in My Hero Academia? She was just an average civilian who was rescued by the protagonist of the series, Izuku Midoriya. This took place towards the end of the Paranormal Liberation War arc. She is a citizen of Japan and has a fox-like appearance. She is tall, has blonde hair and blue eyes, and happens to have the physique of a human being.
The incident she was involved in took place in her home city at night. She was merely trying to evacuate but was soon cornered by three civilians. Given her appearance, the civilians were convinced that she was an enemy and attacked her. Despite her attempts to diffuse the situation, she was on the receiving end of an arm cannon attack. However, the protagonist manages to arrive in the nick of time and save her.
He explained to all parties that people were on edge because of all the casualties. He assured the civilians that Ordinary Woman was not a threat. But, Deku’s explanation fell on deaf ears as they continued blaming her while fleeing the scene, intimidated by Deku’s arrival. Her Mutant Quirk made it hard for people to accept her and despite All Might’s help, she was unable to take refuge in a shelter. She constantly moved from one shelter to another, in a desperate attempt to seek refuge while the fight against evil went on.
There is some interesting trivia about this character, and its contents can be found in volume 32 of the My Hero Academia manga series. In that volume, the manga author explicitly stated that he gave her string features so that fans remember her. She isn’t relevant to the plot per se. However, she is the only one among the rest of the regular citizens that Horikoshi wants to lay emphasis on. This explains her abnormal height and it turns out that he took inspiration from another incredible anime series - Neongenesis Evangelion. This is everything fans need to know about Ordinary Woman from the animanga series.
