On September 18, 2024, Joe Manganiello was announced as the live-action actor for Crocodile in Netflix's One Piece Live Action Season 2. The casting call for the actor was unannounced, meaning he was chosen through some standards undisclosed to the audience. Nonetheless, the actor is of a high caliber, and his career is proof of this.

Joe Manganiello is known for his roles in movies like Spiderman (2002) and Justice League, and TV series like How I Met Your Mother. The actor was a fan-favorite for the role of Mr. 0 of the Baroque Works because of his antagonistic personality and intimidating aura, which is evident from his roles in most of the series/movies he has done to this day.

Joe Manganiello is an American actor who was also the husband of famous Columbian-American actress Sofia Vergara before they separated in early 2024. He started his career as a theatre actor for small acts, and it was not until 2002 that Joe Manganiello received his first role in the movie Out of Courage 2: Out for Vengeance.

The same year, he received one of his most well-known roles as Flash Thompson in the Spiderman movie. He reprised his role in the franchise's third part. Flash Thompson is one of the major antagonists in the Spiderman comics. After this role, Joe played the role of another antagonist, Deathstroke, in Zack Snyder's Justice League.

The American actor was also a part of some well-known TV series like the sitcom How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory. Joe Manganiello has also appeared on popular web shows such as YouTube's Good Mythical Morning.

Having been a popular fan-casting since early 2021, the fandom speculated that Joe Manganiello would be the perfect Crocodile in the upcoming Netflix's One Piece Live Action Season 2.

The biggest reason for this is the actor's antagonistic aura and huge build that fits Crocodile of the Baroque Works. His roles as Flash and Deathstroke could be enough for the fandom to realize how good of a casting choice he is for the first villain the Straw Hat Pirates would face on the Grand Line.

Mr. 0, more commonly known as Crocodile, was the leader of the criminal organization Baroque Works. However, Mr. 0 was a codename Crocodile used to hide his true identity as a warlord of the sea.

Warlords are pirates that are allied with the World Government, in exchange for which their bounties are frozen. Crocodile did all this to go against the World Government through Operation Utopia.

Operation Utopia was to dethrone King Cobra, King of Arabasta, and find the Ancient Weapon hidden in Arabasta to strive for a utopia that was strong enough to go against the World Government.
