My Hero Academia Class 1-A students were confirmed to go one student down in chapter 425 as Aoyama left the U.A. to pursue new goals. This development was confirmed through the spoilers for the chapter, as it is officially set to be released on June 10, 2024.

However, Shinso joined the class in Aoyama's place. Shinso was supposed to join the Hero course much earlier, but due to the events of the final war, his transfer couldn't be processed. Therefore, he was just added to the group of fights alongside My Hero Academia Class 1-A students.

After Aoyama's departure, how many My Hero Academia Class 1-A students are left as the class enters its third year? Fortunately enough, the number of students in this class remains the same except for Aoyama. There were no departures, as confirmed by chapter 425.

My Hero Academia chapter 425 saw the graduation ceremony of the U.A. High School as the third-year students graduated, and the previous grades were promoted a year. Class 1-A saw the departure of Aoyama and the arrival of Shinso as they became third-years with the same homeroom teacher as their previous year, Aizawa.

Every student from this class gave their all during the final war and returned alive after defeating the absolute evil, All for One. After the departure of Aoyama, Class 1-A now consists of 19 students.

Mina and Kirishima gave their all against the Sludge Villain, who is also one of the starting antagonists of the series. Koji and Shoji fought Spinner, who had now achieved a stronger form. But he stood no chance against the My Hero Academia Class 1-A students.

Hagakure defeated Kunieda, a newly introduced villain in the final war, assisted by Aoyama. Uraraka and Tsuyu fought Himiko Toga, as Uraraka made a hair-breadth escape from death and was declared the winner of this battle. Shoto fought his brother Toya (Dabi), assisted by the class representative, Iida. The fight went for two rounds, but Shoto reigned as the victor.

Jiro and Tokoyami were part of the team that fought All for One, also assisted by Mineta. The fight reached a standstill due to All for One's overpowered quirks, but Bakugo entered the fight as a wild-card entry and defeated the villain.

Lastly, Deku fought TomurAFO, assisted by Momo, the vice-class representative of Class 1-A, and Kaminari. The fight went through different transitions as the whole class united and assisted Deku, including the remaining three students, Ojiro, Rikido, and Sero. Together, they helped Deku reach All for One and ended the final war with the demise of the antagonists.

As some fans might have already noticed, Kohei Horikoshi's writing is different from other writers who kill some of the main cast members before their series reaches the climax.

With all of the My Hero Academia Class 1-A students alive at the end of the series, such a climax could be a hit or miss in the eyes of the fandom. Nonetheless, the writer managed to bring the series to a conclusion that deserves praise.
