My Hero Academia's final chapter was released on August 5, 2024, and the episode featured Deku as a teacher after all his services as a hero in the past. This part of the chapter became the talk of the town and for all the bad reasons as the fandom started questioning Kohei Horikoshi's reasoning for making his protagonist a teacher despite his aspiration to become a hero.
Fortunately, the criticism from the fandom is not wrong as this slight detail messed up the entire ending of the series. Yes, Izuku did end up as a hero with his Iron Suit but he spent 8 years without any action. Moreover, while he was a teacher, every other student was enjoying their life as a hero which was the main point that made Deku's ending unfair and unsatisfactory.

Why was Deku's ending undeserved in My Hero Academia's final chapter?
My Hero Academia's final chapter commenced with a monologue from Izuku Midoriya, hinting that the entire series was a narration from the protagonist. The monologue was followed by Shota asking Izuku about their next class, revealing that the protagonist had become a teacher at U.A. High after graduation.
After an 8-year time skip, Izuku continued his journey as a teacher at U.A. High School. On the other hand, the other students had entered their own careers which were all hero-related. Shouji was awarded numerous accolades as a pro hero as he fought for the rights of heteromorphs.
Iida, Momo, Tsuyu, and Uraraka were traveling to grade schools all around Japan counseling students regarding quirks under Uraraka's Quirk Counselling Expansion Project. Bakugo and Todoroki were professional Pro Heroes and were competing for the #1 position.
As for the other students, Hatsume had opened her own company which a lot of new students were eager to join. Lemillion had also become a top-rated hero and the same could be said for the majority of the other students and the graduates.
All of this brings Izuku's position as a teacher into question because out of all the students in his class, Izuku Midoriya was the most enthusiastic about becoming a hero. Things would have been different if the majority of Class A students had retired and joined welfare programs for the development of the future generation of heroes.
However, everyone entered new lives as heroes, and Deku was left behind as a teacher. Aizawa's statement is key in this aspect as he felt Izuku's loneliness because he was left behind. So, Izuku becoming a teacher at the end of My Hero Academia was a bad ending for the character.
Final thoughts
After the climax of the chapter, Izuku was summoned by All Might who wanted to gift the protagonist a new suit which was based on the same suit All Might equipped during the fight against All for One. Izuku hesitated to accept it at first but he eventually accepted it after All Might stated that he deserved such a prestigious gift.
This hinted that he did become a hero at the end of the series, but it wasn't fair to him as he had lost his spark in the last 8 years from not utilizing his physique. So, he would face problems operating this new suit and might need training to make the suit his own. So, this added to Izuku's unfortunate fate at the end of the series.
