Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World episode 4 recap
Episode 4 of Why Does Nobody Remember Me in This World anime was titled Thus, the World was Recorded. The episode mostly focused on the battle between the Dark Empress Vanessa and the duo of Kai Sakura Vento and Rinne.
The episode started with Kai and Rinne realizing that the Hero of the Demons was much more powerful than they had imagined. Although Rinne tried to give Kai a chance to escape by trapping herself with Vanessa inside a barrier, the latter effortlessly destroyed it. She then proceeded to dispose off Kai with a powerful spell at point-blank range, which seemed impossible for the latter to survive.
Upon witnessing Kai's apparent death, Rinne lost control of her usual form and transformed into a chaotic mix of all the Five Races. This transformation was powerful enough to severely damage Vanessa, even in her current state. Rinne intended to take Vanessa down along with herself by deploying a powerful suicidal spell. However, the latter revealed that she had cast a spell beforehand that was able to nullify the former's attack.
As things looked more hopeless than ever, Kai managed to get back into the fight while looking seemingly unscathed, saving Rinne from the clutches of the Dark Empress. When Vanessa expressed her disdain for the human race and berated them for not having a hero, Kai declared that he would show her humanity's spirit.
What followed was a brilliant strategy devised by Kai, which allowed him to gain the upper hand by taking advantage of the Demons' inability to see in the dark. Using this tactic, Kai managed to beat Vanessa, who was surprisingly quick to accept her defeat and acknowledge humanity's spirit.
Following their victory at the Government Palace, Jeanne informed Kai the next day that she would be leaving the Urza Rebellion Army to join forces with the rest of the rebellion forces in the world. She then asked Kai for his support to end the Great War of the Five Races, and he agreed to her proposal without hesitation. With this, the episode came to an end.
