Dragon Ball fans have often wondered, "Why is Kefla so powerful?" The answer is deeply rooted in the series' lore, that is, elements such as the Potara fusion and the nature of the Saiyan race. Kale and Caulifla are the two Saiyans of Universe 6 who fused to become Kefla, making them the direct source of her power. Their friendship also plays a major role, as it makes their fusion feel more natural and cohesive, which is decisive in these situations in the series.

Individually, Caulifla is seen as a prodigy, as she managed to understand the mechanics of the Super Saiyan quickly and achieved several transformations during the Tournament of Power arc. This means that she could reach a level that took years for the likes of Goku, Vegeta, and even Gohan with ease.

Kale, on the other hand, is modeled after Broly and has a similar knack to go berserk and muscular as she powers up. This means that she can access the same Super Saiyan form as Broly and power up massively, although it has never been stated if she can reach the same level as the Super canon version that was recently introduced.

If not, the resulting fusion is going to be a flawed one instead of the desired one, which combines their power and knowledge.

Another method is the Potara fusion, which involves earrings that belong to the Kais of each universe. Two individuals can pick up one set of these earrings and put one on the other's opposite ear, causing them to merge into one person. This method provides a higher power multiplier compared to the Fusion Dance. Both types of fusions last thirty minutes.
