As the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga has been progressing, fans have been connecting certain characters to elements from other manga titles. Momoshiki has been the topic of discussion among many fans since much about the character has been shrouded in mystery. Furthermore, fans have also compared him to the likes of Vegeta from the Dragon Ball series.
The Prince of Saiyans is one of the most popular deuteragonists in the series. In fact, his popularity places him alongside Goku, and many even see him as the protagonist’s equal. Fans might wonder why is someone like him being compared to the likes of Momoshiki. Furthermore, why will Kishimoto not give Momoshiki the same treatment Vegeta got from Akira Toriyama?
The similarities lie in their initial goals and outlook on certain things. However, the two will likely not share a similar path in their respective stories despite a few similarities because they’re two extremely different people at their very core.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex: Why Masashi Kishimoto will not let Momoshiki take on the same role that Vegeta did
When Vegeta was first introduced in the series, he was a cold ruthless killer. He wanted to exact revenge for all the suffering that his clan had been through. He was someone who would do anything to become more powerful and murdered people with no hesitation. He was incredibly malicious during the earlier parts of the series.
Momoshiki is a tad bit similar to Vegeta on this front. He too killed people and didn’t hesitate to take the life of people if it meant he could become stronger. Such tendencies were exhibited in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex as well. Much like Vegeta, Momoshiki Otsutsuki also takes a great deal of pride in his clan. He also seems to know a lot about them and would try to become one of the strongest Otsutsuki members in the series. Furthermore, pride is another element that is common to both these characters.
However, Vegeta let go of that hatred and even managed to have a family of his own. This character development was considered among the best in the Dragon Ball series. However, Masashi Kishimoto will not give Momoshiki the same treatment. Momoshiki is evil by nature and malice is present in the very core of his being. He is evil for evil’s sake and he is one of those characters that will not have a redeeming moment.
Kishimoto could make him one of Shibai’s clones whose sole agenda is to find the Otsutsuki God an ideal body. Perhaps, the reason Shibai transcended a body was because the body was too weak to contain his true powers. Even if this isn’t the case, he will most likely be one of the major antagonists in the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex manga series.
Momoshiki is quite mysterious and it has been hinted that he will play a massive role when the protagonist is on the verge of losing everything. Therefore, Momoshiki will not receive the same treatment that Vegeta got in the Dragon Ball series.
