The ending of My Hero Academia is right around the corner, now that it has been confirmed that the epilogue arc has about five chapters left. In that regard, characters like Deku, Shoto Todoroki, Katsuki Bakugo, and Ochako Uraraka are having or are going to have chapters dedicated to them. Meanwhile, the likes of Eijiro Kirishima, Momo Yaoyorozu, and others are bound to get the short end of the stick.
While it might not be a problem to some, it is worth pointing out that My Hero Academia's ending would be all about giving a satisfying closure to most characters. That would be the focus of this epilogue arc.
Even though Eijiro Kirishima and Momo Yaoyorozu were never as prominent as other characters like Katsuki Bakugo or Shoto Todoroki, they were still clearly involved in the story during several arcs and deserve a degree of attention.

Explaining why Eijiro Kirishima, Momo Yaoyorozu, and others are getting the short end of the stick in the My Hero Academia ending
Chapter 426 of the manga has been recently leaked and it majorly focuses on the Todoroki family, giving a conclusion to their subplot in the series. While that storyline has been mostly well-received by the fandom, there is also a feeling of concern as it has been confirmed that the epilogue arc is going to last about five more chapters or so.
Characters like Deku, All Might, Ochako Uraraka, Himiko Toga, Spinner, and Katsuki Bakugo could take over whole chapters. Moreover, a moment involving Tomura Shigaraki in some shape or form could also be another point of focus.
Thus, there is very little material left to explore for Momo Yaoyorozu or Eijiro Kirishima. The same goes for characters such as Tenya Iida, Denki Kaminari, or Jiro Kyoka. Not getting closures for them would probably leave some fans unsatisfied.
It is true that these characters are perhaps not as prevalent in the story as Bakugo or Shoto, However, there is also the fact they have played some major roles in some arcs. For example, Iida was part of Deku's close group of friends early on and Kirishima even had a prominent role during the Overhaul arc. So, it would not be fair to ignore them during the epilogue.
The problems of having a big cast
My Hero Academia has been praised for a wide variety of reasons. However, a major criticism that the story has received is for having a very big cast because it has led to several characters being undermined or underdeveloped. This has been a major issue that has plagued the story from the very beginning.
Perhaps, the likes of Momo, Iida, and Kirishima could be seen as the best examples of that negative trend. They had character arcs in very specific storylines but were later pushed to the background. Some fans have mentioned that a smaller cast would have helped the series get a tighter and more cohesive narrative, with all things taken into consideration.
Final thoughts
The conclusion of My Hero Academia has a lot of ground to cover in the epilogue. However, there is a very good chance that the likes of Jiro, Momo, Iida, and Kirishima are going to get the short end of the stick. This is what usually happens when an anime series features such a large cast of characters.
