My Hero Academia Chapter 426 is set to be released on Monday, July 1, 2024. However, its alleged spoilers were leaked online days before its release. With that, fans witnessed the Todoroki family getting their much-deserved reunion. While it seemed like Endeavor had finally managed to move Toya's heart, Natsuo still remained adamant about not forgiving his father.
Natsuo Todoroki is the third child and the second son of Enji and Rei Todoroki. While his father treated his two brothers poorly, he seldom interacted with Natsuo. This must lead one to think that Natsuo should have some fondness towards his father. However, seemingly he hated Enji Todoroki the most. So, why does Natsuo Todoroki hate his father so much?

My Hero Academia: Why does Natsuo hate his father?
Natsuo Todoroki hates his father Enji Todoroki for everything he put his family through. Unlike his two brothers who inherited his father's "Flame" Quirk, Natsuo happened to inherit his mother Rei Todoroki's "Frost" Quirk. Hence, his father had nothing to teach him.
Thus, given that both his brothers Toya and Shoto had Flame-based Quirks, Enji Todoroki focused on their training on different occasions putting both of them through hell.
Toya Todoroki looked up to his father and wished to be trained by him. Enji used to train Toya at first, but after learning that his quirk was harming his body, Enji was forced to stop it altogether. This decision broke Toya as he began training alone to prove his worth to his father, eventually leading to his "death" at Sekoto Peak and return as Dabi.
As for Shoto Todoroki, he inherited quirks from both his parents, Enji and Rei, causing him to have the unique two-quirk "Half-Cold Half-Hot." This was exactly what Enji was after through his Quirk Marriage. Hence, Enji focused on Shoto entirely, neglecting the rest of his family.
From this, one may think that Natsuo was dealt the best deal as he never had to go through his father's gruesome training. But this was exactly what went wrong with Endeavor and Natsuo's relationship. While Toya and Shoto hated their father, they had spent significant time with him to form some paternal love.
This was not the case for Natsuo. In the past, Natsuo truly yearned for his father's affection and tried to get his attention. Unfortunately, Enji was devoted to ruthlessly training Shoto. Hence, he neglected Natsuo alongside his other siblings. Nevertheless, Natsuo stayed strong for Toya who truly looked up to his father. But this all came to an end when Toya passed away.
Following Toya's death, Natsuo only had his sister Fuyumi to spend time with. His mother Rei had been hospitalized and his brother Shoto was forced to train. Thus, Natsuo became lonely. This loneliness soon developed into resentment towards his father as he held Enji accountable for driving their family apart.
Unlike his other family members who had spent significant time with his father, Natsuo never got the chance to get to know him. Hence, he was able to look at everything his father was responsible for with no emotional bias and hated him for it.
This was also the reason why Natsuo decided to not see his father anymore. He was set to marry his girlfriend but had no intention to introduce her to him or meet him himself.
