Why the timing for Shinso joining Class A in My Hero Academia's Epilogue is perfect

My Hero Academia officially entered into its Epilogue arc in chapter 424 of the manga, released last week. As such, chapter 425 provided a glimpse at the lives of the heroes following the war and how the Hero society was managing to get back on its feet at a rather rapid pace, thanks to Principal Nezu of U.A. High.

The chapter started with a graduation ceremony for the third-year students of the U.A., as it also saw Deku and his classmates being promoted to their second year. It also featured a possibly final appearance from Yuga Aoyama, who announced that he has decided to part ways with U.A. High, as he wanted to atone for his sins and become a true Hero one day.

However, immediately afterward, it was announced that in place of Aoyama, Hitoshi Shinso from the General Department would be joining Class A. While such a development at this point of the story certainly caught some fans off-guard, it shouldn't come off as a big surprise to anyone, especially since Shinso joining class A is something that everyone knew would happen at some point.

Shinso made his debut in the series in season 2 of the anime, where it was revealed that he had to face quite a lot of adversity and judgment from his peers due to his Brainwashing Quirk. Additionally, the stigma surrounding his Quirk made it difficult for him to gain acceptance into the hero program, as almost every one of his classmates feared him and his abilities.

However, his battle against Deku changed things for the better for him, as he eventually started to get accepted by everyone around him. While he initially stated that he had no interest in making friends, Shinso was soon surrounded by many who began to see him as a friend. Additionally, he was mentored by Shota Aizawa for quite some time, who taught him how to control his Quirk and use it efficiently.

Towards the end of the Joint training arc, it was announced that Shinso would join the Hero course in his second year after he showcased his skills and potential to surpass anyone he set his sights upon. Moreover, the Class 1-A students were tremendously excited to welcome Shinso into their class, as they gleefully persuaded him to join them.

In the final war arc, Shinso had an extremely crucial role to play in the heroes' victory. As such, his finally joining his friends at Class A in his second year in My Hero Academia's Epilogue Arc makes his character come full circle.

In fact, his joining Class A could not have happened at a better time, as it would not only serve as a fresh new start for him but it would also showcase just how much Shinso's character has progressed ever since his first appearance in the series.

Given that the Epilogue is slowly wrapping up the character arcs of every single character of the series, it only makes sense for Shinso's character to end in this arc with him being accepted into Class A.

His journey from being an outcast feared by his peers, to a beloved Hero surrounded by friends who adore and respect him, has certainly been a spectacle to witness. As such, fans hope to see more of him in the upcoming chapters of the My Hero Academia manga.
