Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 269 is set to be released on September 16, 2024. However, the spoilers for the chapter have already been released, and with the recovery of Yuta Okkotsu, the series could be off to a happy ending.

However, with the battle against Sukuna how over, who could be the MVP of the final fight? Although Ui Ui claimed to be the MVP, the real one could be the one who was getting scolded, that is, Yuta.

Starting his sorcerer journey as a newbie among talented sorcerers, the special-grade sorcerer climbed the ranks and was declared one of the strongest sorcerers, backed by sorcerers like Gojo Satoru. Moreover, his efforts and sacrifice during the final fight against Ryomen Sukuna leave no doubt in declaring him the MVP of the series.

Yuta Okkotsu is one of the central antagonists introduced in the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie/volume 0 as a special-garde sorcerer due to the curse he bore. He was cursed by his childhood friend, Rika, as they swore to get married but she died in an accident. Due to this, he was always haunted by a curse which was titled the Queen of Curses.

After getting over their feelings at the end of the movie/volume, Rika became Yuta's cursed technique and gave him the power to copy the cursed techniques of others. However, before he could reenter Jujutsu Tech, he was sent with Miguel to his home country so that he could master the control over cursed energy manipulation.

Returning during the Itadori Extermination arc, Yuta Okkotsu was manipulated by the higher-ups to think that Itadori was the person who cut Inumaki's hand (in reality, it was Sukuna). So, after a heated fight, Yuta Okkotsu was about to kill him but he got back to his senses in time.

After this, Yuta's real role in the series started as he gave his input in everything. Starting from the Culling Game arc, his fight against some of the strongest cursed spirits of the past was crucial to the ultimate battle against Ryomen Sukuna, with the spotlight being on the fight between Yuta, Ryu, and Uru.

Although the fight was more of a 2vs1 against Yuta Okkotsu, he stood strong and emerged as the winner of the fight. After that, the battle against Sukuna started and Yuta sneaked in on Kenjaku after Kenjaku was distracted by Takaba, using Aoi's Boogie Woogie cursed technique. Fortunately, Kenjaku was beheaded but he released his cursed spirits before dying and passed the command to activate the merger to Megumi (Sukuna).

After taking care of Kenjaku, Yuta entered the battlefield against Sukuna and the start of the show in this battle was his Domain Expansion: Authentic Mutual Love. This showered the battlefield with swords and each sword had one cursed technique, which Yuta Okkotsu copied in the past.

However, even this wasn't enough to overpower the King of Curses and Yuta was sliced in half by Sukuna's world-cutting slash (the same one which killed Gojo). However, this was not the end of the special-garde sorcerer as he again entered the battlefield, using Kenjaku's cursed technique, as Gojo Satoru.

This time, he gave the King of Curses a run for his money and delivered lethal damage which gave Yuji and Nobara to deliver the final blow and Megumi to rip the antagonist out of his body.

In chapter 269 spoilers, Ui Ui claimed that he was the MVP of the final fight. Frankly, this could be considered true because his soul-exchange cursed technique was crucial to teaching Yuta and Yuji cursed techniques in a short time. However, when talking about the MVP of the entire series, Yuta Okkotsu stands at the top due to his sacrifice and hard work.
