Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 272 is currently a trending topic among the fanbase because people are wondering if the series is going to continue or not. The manga ended with chapter 271, so there is not going to be a chapter 272 or more in the foreseeable future, although that hasn't stopped the fandom from coming up with their own stories.
There might not be a Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 272 on the horizon but a lot of fans have theorized there is going to be a sequel for author Gege Akutami's series at some point in the future.
There are no reports or official information that can back this statement and is mostly speculation because of the way the story concluded and the several plot points that were left open and underdeveloped.

Exploring whether there is going to be a Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 272
There is not going to be a Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 272 since the series ended with the latest chapter 271. It was here that Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, and Nobara Kugisaki made a final mission before the story's conclusion, the protagonist remembered his deceased sensei, Satoru Gojo, and the final villain of the story, Ryomen Sukuna, got the conclusion for his own journey in the afterlife.
The main reason that Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 272 has become a topic of discussion in recent days is that the ending left so many open questions to the reader that it is hard to digest the idea the story is over. Elements such as Sukuna's past (which only became more important because of his revealed connection to Uraume in chapter 271), the secrets Tengen was keeping from the sorcerers according to Kenjaku, the plot of other countries getting involved in the Culling Games, and more were some of the aforementioned issues.
This is why some people thought that the story was going to continue with Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 272 or that there was going to be a sequel. However, no one at Shonen Jump or Shueisha has stated anything regarding a new story in this universe, so it seems that Yuji Itadori's story has ended.
The issues with the ending
Some people wanted a Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 272 and more because the ending didn't deal with the death of Satoru Gojo. Additionally, it didn't explain the new order of Jujutsu society after such upheaval and didn't show what was going to happen to the main cast moving forward. A major theme of the story was how Jujutsu society uses teenagers to fight Curses and that topic was mostly swept under the rug in the most recent arcs.
Moreover, there is also the fact that Kenjaku's comments about his will were mostly ignored, his relationship with Tengen wasn't addressed, and his connection with Yuji Itadori as the latter's mother was never given much focus. The same can be said about Uraume, who gained a lot of prominence in the final chapter of his relationship with Sukuna despite the story never explaining who she is and why they are together.
Final thoughts
There is not going to be a Jujutsu Kaisen chapter 272 in the near future since the story has ended but it does show a degree of frustration with the story's conclusion. It shows there was room to explore and explain things in a better manner.
