"Will not tolerate Shisui slander" - Naruto fans fight back after Dragon Ball community points out commonality between Shisui and SSJ4 Gogeta

Dragon Ball and Naruto fans have a long history of arguing with each other on social media and there was a new debate on X because fans of the former compared Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta to the latter's Shisui Uchiha. This is meant to be slander since this version of Gogeta didn't accomplish anything during his short stint in GT despite being so powerful, which is similar to Shisui, who was described as being extremely strong and was easily killed by Danzo.

This statement, to a certain point, also irked some Dragon Ball fans who hold Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta in high regard because of his incredible powers and charisma. On the other hand, Naruto fans pointed out how Shisui's contributions to the story are not based on his raw strength but rather how he was key for Itachi Uchiha's development in the series.

To understand the comparison, it is worth highlighting that Goku and Vegeta fused into Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta to defeat Omega Shenron at the end of GT but ultimately didn't accomplish anything despite being the most powerful entity of that series since he wasted time fooling around. That is compared to Shisui Uchiha, who was apparently one of the strongest individuals in the history of his clan but was easily taken down by Danzo.

This is a statement that managed to irk Naruto fans, who always had a strong connection to the character of Shisui, mainly because the Studio Pierrot anime adaptation added more material to flesh him out. Even some Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta fans were annoyed by the comparison, stating that while he didn't accomplish anything in the story, he was at least the strongest character ever in GT.

Both statements can be true since Gogeta was undeniably the strongest in that series and didn't accomplish anything either while Shisui had a lot of power and was easily defeated as well. It goes to show how power can't be the sole metric to evaluate a character and how they can influence the plot in many different forms.

The popularity of Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta is understandable in the Dragon Ball fandom is understandable when considering that he is the fusion of the two main characters, Goku and Vegeta, and has a lot of natural charisma. On the other hand, Shisui's popularity might be the most interesting phenomenon because of the little amount of screen time he had in the series.

It is very likely due to the fact that Shisui was described as an extremely powerful member of the Uchiha clan but also as someone who was very optimistic and noble. That is a rarity in that clan since many of its prominent members tend to have darker leanings, such as the cases of Madara, Obito, and even Sasuke.

"Ok but ssj4 gogeta is the actual strongest character in gt and Shisui is statement man," someone said.

"At least Gogeta actually does something in games, they give this guy all these power-ups including a Kishimoto designed perfect susanoo in a game where he's not even relevant anymore ,and he still gets clapped by danzo," another person said.

"Not even because SS4 Gogeta at least at one point WAS the strongest. Shisui has quite literally always been a fraud," someone else said.

Regardless of opinions made by Naruto and Dragon Ball fans, every person is entitled to having their favorite characters by any reason.
