Wind Breaker chapter 149: Sakura's teammates thank him for his hard work and Sakura helps Endo reach the rooftop to witness the final battle
Wind Breaker chapter 149, titled Where Victory and Defeat Lead, commenced with Sakura lying in the middle of a field enjoying the ambiance, but out of nowhere, he started hearing the noise of people calling him. He then shouted out to them and woke up because he was dreaming.
Tsubaki was about to give him CPR, and the others also showed worry for Sakura's well-being. Tsubaki hugged Sakura, and the rest were amazed at how Sakura beat the powerhouse Endo in a 1-on-1, whereas most of them couldn't do it with their combined strengths.
Wind Breaker chapter 149 also saw Nirei crying after witnessing Sakura in a bad state, and Suo also joined in by appreciating Sakura for his hard work. Tsubaki then hugged Sakura again and apologized for not giving him a helping hand against such a strong opponent, but he did thank Sakura for coming to their help on such an emergency notice.
Sakura then realized how he had saved everyone from Endo's terror but suddenly realized that Endo was still near them. He asked Tsubaki about what had happened to Endo, and he replied that he was still on the ground after Sakura had headbutted him.
Unfortunately, that wasn't the case, as he was wide awake and was watching Sakura's friends pamper him. Everyone got into their battle stance, and Endo claimed he was no longer in the mood to fight. Endo then thought about Sakura in his mind and admitted that he liked Sakura for his fighting spirit.
Endo also claimed that defeating him would rob him of Sakura, but he also claimed that he could never win against Sakura. Endo called his squads and ordered them to fall back from Furin High School. He then admitted defeat before Sakura, meaning he would never mess with Furin in the future.
Sakura then offered him a hand as he knew Endo would go to the rooftop. Sakura's friends tried to object, but Sakura was adamant about this. He then picked up Endo as they were on their way to the roof. Sakura told his friends to return to their positions as there was no telling if what Endo said was just a bluff.
Endo showed slight distaste over Sakura, not believing him and calling him a meanie. Before they entered the school, Tsubaki asked Sakura to watch the fight between Umemiya and Takiishi, which was taking place on the rooftop, till the end.
Final thoughts
With Sakura and Endo on their way to the final battle, the next chapter would most likely shed light on the fight between Umemiya and Takiishi. Earlier in the battle between Sakura and Endo, a chair flew from the roof, indicating that the final fight could also be in full heat.
As indicated before, Umemiya's personality would change once he is faced with a dangerous situation. Could the next chapter start with the leader of Furin in a state he has never seen before?
