Wind Breaker chapter 149 was titled Where Victory and Defeat Lead. The chapter begins with Sakura waking up from a cozy dream after Tsubaki tries to do CPR on him. Everyone considered him dead after the battle with Endo but he pulled through and earned the respect of some of his friends.

Tsubaki was especially worried about him and kept hugging him. Nirei and Suo were also glad to see Sakura well and Sakura also realized that he had saved his friends from a possible calamity. Just as the celebrations continued, Sakura realized that Endo was still near them. Upon asking Tsubaki, he claimed that he was still out after Sakura headbutted him.

Unfortunately, Endo was watching Sakura celebrate his victory with his friends. Everyone became wary after witnessing Endo well, but the ex-Furin claimed that he had no plans of attacking them anymore. He called back his forces from all around Furin and admitted defeat right before Sakura.

He did this because he knew he could never muster up the courage to defeat someone like Sakura who was a true fighter. After admitting defeat, Sakura gave him a hand as he knew Endo's next destination would be the rooftop where Umemiya and Takiishi were fighting. Before these two left, Tsubaki told Sakura to watch the fight till the end.
