Wind Breaker chapter 154, titled Raging Inferno, commenced with Sakura and Endo watching Takiishi and Umemiya fight to the death. As their fight continued, Sakura got worried about their well-being since their fight was getting bloodier by the passing second.

So, he asked Endo about their well-being and emphasized that Umemiya could fatally injure Takiishi. With this, Endo started laughing hysterically, triggering Sakura. Endo then explained how he couldn't believe Sakura was worried about Takiishi.

He then brought the flashback to when Umemiya first mentioned how he had never won against Takiishi. Endo mentioned that when Takiishi was a part of Furin, Umemiya and his friends tried their best to make him a part of their group, but Takiishi was like a wall that never fell.

However, Umemiya kept urging Takiishi about how he would make him join the good side. During these battles, Umemiya gathered a good group of people willing to follow him on this mission. Unfortunately, around this time, Takiishi left Furin and so did several other members who disagreed with Umemiya's philosophy, forming the 'Noroshi.'

After explaining the flashback, Endo confessed that he failed to understand what Takiishi enjoyed the most, which was fighting Umemiya's old personality. Endo admitted that all of this happened because he was too busy admiring Takiishi, and if he had known about this, he would have tried his best to stay with Furin and stopped it from getting soft through Umemiya's efforts.

This infuriated Sakura, but he remained calm. Endo answered Sakura's question, which he asked at the start of the Wind Breaker chapter 154, that he should be worried about Umemiya's well-being and not Takiishi's because Takiishi's fire was impossible to extinguish.

Right around this time, the fight between Umemiya and Takiishi got intense, and they started pounding each other without any worries about killing the other. After Umemiya sent Takiishi flying into the net, something awakened inside Takiishi, and his demeanor changed entirely.

Starting from this moment, he started evading all of Umemiya's blows. After Umemiya tried to grab him, Takiishi grabbed him and smacked him to the ground. Wind Breaker chapter 154 ended with Sakura worrying about Umemiya's well-being, Endo impressed with Takiishi's move, and Umemiya lying on the ground, seemingly passed out.
