Wind Breaker chapter 155: Umemiya stands up again after getting knocked out as the stakes are set for the rematch
Wind Breaker chapter 155 was titled Oath. Wind Breaker chapter 155 commenced with a flashback of Takiishi's point of view. From the start of his life, Takiishi perceived people as two kinds. One was the kind that needed to be eliminated because they stood in his way, and the other was people who brought him the things he loved.
Takiishi was never interested in these people and never remembered their faces. However, two people came to his interest. The first was Endo, who brought him the things he loved, and the other was Umemiya, who always tried to block his path. The latter was the first time Takiishi felt annoyed by someone's existence.
Wind Breaker chapter 155 revealed that Umemiya was knocked out, and Endo started celebrating the return of Takiishi by stating that this was the best finale Umemiya could give Takiishi. However, Takiishi wasn't satisfied and professed to Umemiya by saying his name, that he had never felt so good in ages.
This statement surprised Endo because he had never seen Takiishi speak someone's name. Endo shifted to Sakura, who looked stiff and stated that the strongest are set to fall one day. Sakura cut his dialogue and said there was no way Umemiya's battle would end like this.
Sakura remembered Umemiya's words after they defeated Shishitoren, and no matter how hard the climb might be, Umemiya would never lose. Wind Breaker chapter 155 then shifted to Umemiya, whose body was ascending.
He sat before Takiishi as Sakura and Umemiya passed a smile to each other. Endo was in shock over Umemiya returning to battle. However, he realized this was a given because Umemiya was the only person present in Takiishi's world.
Takiishi's face also brightened up as he and Umemiya glared at each other. Umemiya admitted that Takiishi got to his head, however, as he had never lost to him in the past, he couldn't let things end so easily. Umemiya continued by saying that if he won the battle today, Takiishi would tell him about his life.
Takiishi stated that Umemiya was always annoying, just like the old days of Furin. Surprisingly, Takiishi agreed to Umemiya's conditions, which surprised Endo since he had never seen Takiishi agree on terms with someone. However, Takiishi asked Umemiya what Takiishi would get if he won. Umemiya boldly replied by saying 'nothing,' as he was sure he would win the fight.
