Wind Breaker chapter 156: Round 2 of Umemiya vs. Takiishi starts as the Furin leader appreciates Sakura for his efforts
Wind Breaker chapter 156 was titled Overheat. The chapter commenced with the leaders of Furin and Noroshi rushing toward each other with their blows, and Umemiya's monologue was revealed as he fought Takiishi. The Furin leader called out Takiishi in his thoughts and claimed he never understood what Takiishi was thinking because he was too obsessed with winning the battle.
Umemiya claimed this could be why Takiishi became a shadow no one wanted to interact with. However, Takiishi's gaze towards Umemiya calmed down Umemiya. This led to the Furin leader claiming that Takiishi was why Umemiya's plan to change Furin began and claimed that the current situation was all his fault.
Umemiya was taken aback when he vowed, as the leader of Furin, and became someone who would never lose in the future. Umemiya claimed he would use the same vow in the current battle against Takiishi and bring him down for good, hoping they could understand each other.
The fight reached another level as these two showcased their battle IQ. Umemiya tried to impale Takiishi, but the latter dodged. However, Umemiya still managed to impale his face. As expected, Takiishi got stronger from Umemiya's fist and smacked him to the ground.
Umemiya threw him onto a bunch of tables as Wind Breaker chapter 156 showcased Endo and Sakura witnessing the fight between their leaders. Takiishi took the chance and threw a table at Umemiya as a distraction. Umemiya was distracted, giving Takiishi a chance to throw the Furin leader into the rooftop net, making Takiishi laugh hysterically.
Umemiya was intrigued and called out to Takiishi about laughing so much. Takiishi said that no matter how much harder he hit Umemiya, the Furin leader stood back, which made him happy. Umemiya professed, saying he could not give up because his junior, Sakura, was watching their battle.
Wind Breaker chapter 156 again shifted to Umemiya's monologue. However, this time, he talks to Sakura and appreciates him for beating Endo because that was the only way for him to reach the rooftop. Umemiya even called Sakura's win 'unbelievable' and was taken back to their conversation after beating Shishitoren.
After looking at how Sakura had grown over time, Umemiya claimed that Sakura's existence made him feel that Furin's future was bright. Wind Breaker chapter 156 returned to the fight between Umemiya and Takiishi. The former grabbed the latter and claimed he had to match Sakura by beating the strongest fight in Furin's history.
Wind Breaker chapter 156 ended with Umemiya punching Takiishi's face point black before saying they were going to have a long talk (the condition Umemiya set for Takiishi's loss).
