Wind Breaker chapter 156, titled Overheat, commenced with Umemiya and Takiishi continuing their fight. The chapter then showcased Umemiya's thinking of the time when Takiishi was a part of Furin High. The Furin leader admitted that Takiishi's condition was his fault because he couldn't understand what he wanted and pushed him aside.

This led to Takiishi becoming a shadow and leaving Furin High for good. However, Umemiya also claimed that as this was his mistake, he would make sure to beat Takiishi and end this tale before it was too late. The fight between these two reached a new level as Umemiya made every blow of his land on Takiishi.

The chapter then showcased Umemiya praising Sakura, who was watching his fight from afar. Umemiya called Sakura's victory against Endo 'unbelievable' and claimed that the future of Furin High looks bright due to Sakura. However, to match Sakura's efforts, Umemiya claimed that he would also beat Takiishi, the strongest student of Furin.

The chapter shifted to Takiishi trying to hit Umemiya, but the Furin leader grabbed his hand and said they would have a long conversation. The chapter ended with Umemiya punching Takiishi in the face, supposedly defeating him, as indicated by the Furin leader's words.

Wind Breaker chapter 157's title is yet to be revealed. As indicated by the climax of the previous chapter, the next chapter might see the conclusion of the fight between Umemiya and Takiishi, as the former delivered a pretty lethal blow to the latter.
