Wind Breaker chapter 157, titled Remaining Embers, commenced with Umemiya delivering a lethal blow to Takiishi which sent the Noroshi leader into a bunch of tables. This shocked the audience, Endo and Sakura, who weren't expecting Takiishi to go down this badly.

However, Takiishi stood up and rain started pouring. Wind Breaker chapter 157 then started to focus on Takiishi's monologue in which the Noroshi leader stated that the things he never liked in the past were now coming out as enjoyable and he had Umemiya to blame for changing him.

Umemiya then tried to pin Takiishi to the ground but Takiishi reversed the Furin leader's advances. However, Umemiya was adamant about maintaining his lead and kicked Takiishi in the guts. Takiishi, now reaching his final blows, wanted to ask Umemiya what he was doing to his body.

The last exchange of blows showcased Umemiya impaling Takiishi's face, after which the Noroshi leader fell to the ground. Takiishi then declared Umemiya the true winner of their battle as both of them fell to the ground after this.

Wind Breaker chapter 158 title is yet to be revealed but as indicated by the climax of the previous chapter, the next chapter might feature Takiishi's life story because he lost against Umemiya in a battle. Moreover, the next chapter might also show the reaction of the audience, Endo and Sakura, to the loss of Takiishi.

The next chapter might also feature a moment between Sakura and Umemiya, just like what happened after Umemiya beat Tomamiya in Furin's battle against Shishitoren. With the nightmare of Furin now settled, for the time being, some temporary days of peace might be on their way.
