Wind Breaker chapter 158, titled The Great Fires of Extinction, commenced with a focus on Endo and Sakura, as the latter was expecting the former to intervene in the battle because Umemiya had just beaten Takiishi. However, Endo was as cool as a cucumber and stated that he was grateful to Umemiya for showing him the best time of his life.

Endo then approached Takiishi to pick him up as the students from Bofurin would be on their way to the top of the school after hearing about the news of Umemiya's win. Takiishi then tried kicking Endo, but the kick was a playful one, which baffled Endo because he was expecting it to be strong.

While this was happening, Wind Breaker chapter 158 saw Sakura message in the school's online group about Umemiya's win. After witnessing the win of their side, the whole school lit up. Where the 4 Heavenly Kings of Bofurin took a sigh of relief, Shishitoren's Tomiyama jumped with joy and raised the spirits of everyone who was depressed.

While everyone enjoyed the triumph of Bofurin, Endo managed to pick up Takiishi. As they were about to run away, Umemiya called out Takiishi and asked him to remember their promise. Takiishi then repeated their promise to always rely on others for help.

Takiishi then directed this promise at Endo by calling his full name, Yamato Endo, and said that he wanted to take a bath. This made Endo emotional for a while, but he hid his emotions by saying that Takiishi's wish was his command. After this, the leaders of Bofurin and Noroshi said their goodbyes, and so did Endo to Sakura, who asked the Bofurin member to visit him sometime in the future.

As the Noroshi members departed, Wind Breaker chapter 158 ended with Sakura approaching Umemiya to pick him up. However, Umemiya smiled and asked him to fist bump him on their win. Sakura was seen getting emotional over Umemiya's advances. The final panel of Wind Breaker chapter 158 showcased the name of the chapter and the end of the current arc, the Noroshi arc.
