Wind Breaker chapter 162 was expected to continue the story after Umemiya raised the final toast to the victory of Furin. The chapter saw Umemiya and his comrades bid farewell to their allies. As everyone said their goodbyes, they again teased Sakura who left to clean the upper portion of the school. Umemiya then accompanied Sakura and thanked him in private.

In the second half of the episode, everyone appreciated Sakura's efforts, but also discussed how the protagonist's anger against Endo was dangerous. This was because his feelings for his allies were too pure and Nirie even feared that these might get the best of him. So, at the end of Wind Breaker chapter 162, everyone promised to get stronger for the sake of the protagonist.

Wind Breaker chapter 162, titled Everyone's Feelings, commenced with everyone standing at the gate of Furin High School. As the guests exited the school, Umemiya and his fellow schoolmates bid farewell to everyone from Shishitoren, Gravel, and Roppoichiza. As the guests bid their farewell, Sakura requested them to call Furin whenever they needed any help.

The guests then teased Sakura to make his gaming skills stronger as the next time they met, everyone would take part in a competitive match. Nirei promised Sakura to help him practice but after learning that the protagonist smashed consoles after losing, he started reconsidering. Sakura eventually grew annoyed and left to clean the high school's roof.

As he was about to leave, Wind Breaker chapter 162 saw Umemiya accompanying Sakura to the rooftop. As they were cleaning the rooftop, Umemiya shared his bedrest experience when he could hardly move a muscle. Even though Sakura faced the same conditions, he claimed that his recovery was smooth. After setting up the mood, Umemiya thanked Sakura for his support.

Unfortunately, despite receiving praise, Sakura was confused as to why Umemiya appreciated his support. In his eyes, the acts he performed were what he was supposed to do. The chapter then saw Sakura go into a dilemma that he only fought so that Umemiya could win the battle against Takiishi.

Wind Breaker chapter 162 then shifted downstairs where everyone was discussing Sakura's growth. Togame showed his amazement over how fast the protagonist was growing. Kanji then asked Togame and Tomiyama about Sakura's performance against Endo (as they were present as spectators in that battle). As expected, they couldn't stop singing praises for him.

However, they also stated that Sakura's condition during the battle was 'dangerous,' as he was genuinely concerned for his friends. Nirei joined the conversation and stated that Sakura was 'too pure' and that this pureness might take him down.

As Nirei was about to say something, everyone stopped him and swore to get stronger for Sakura's sake. Wind Breaker chapter 162 ended with everyone enjoying the afterparty with fireworks with a focus on Sakura.
