Wind Breaker chapter 167 recap
Wind Breaker chapter 167, titled Flowering Bud, commenced with Sakura and Suou fighting against some gang members outside Furin High. Due to the recent war between Furin and Noroshi, the outside gang considered the former gang weak and attacked in hopes of capturing it. However, Sakura dubbed them 'pathetic,' as the frontline fighters of the war were still good to go.
Unfortunately, as these two were fighting against several people alone, they fell short of manpower very soon. While Sakura did complain about Sugishita's absence, he stated that there was no need for any backup. However, Sugishita and Nirei eventually arrived and joined Sakura and Suou in fighting against their enemies. Furthermore, Sugishita looked very fierce.
The chapter then shifted back to the conversation between Sugishita and Nirei, as the former couldn't believe he was jealous of Sakura. However, Nirei kept adding that Sugishita cared for Sakura, to make him realize that his jealousy wasn't a bad thing.
The last part of the chapter saw Nirei asking Sugishita about what made him jealous of the protagonist. As the focus turned toward Sugishita, he started thinking about the things that separated him from Sakura. Then, the last page of the chapter saw Sugishita beating the enemies while Nirei looked at him with a smile, hinting that the former might confess his feelings towards the protagonist.
What to expect from Wind Breaker chapter 168? (Speculative)
Wind Breaker chapter 168's title is yet to be revealed. However, as hinted at by the climax of the previous chapter, the next one might see Sugishita confessing his feelings before the protagonist, to get rid of the awkwardness he has been feeling for the past few chapters.
Moreover, Wind Breaker chapter 168 might also see Suou adding his thoughts to the current matter, as he was the only one who wasn't aware of Sugishita's feelings for Sakura. We'll have to see whether the manga returns to action after Sugishita accepts his jealousy of the protagonist.
