Wind Breaker episode 4 recap

Wind Breaker episode 4 began with Toma trying to explain what happened to Umemiya, but he continued ignoring him and talking about his plants. Eventually, Saska, the middle school student who started this, explained the situation. Sakura then elaborated that he and Sugishita were the ones who attacked the Shishitoren and started the fight. Umemiya happily applauded both of their actions and said he would take care of the situation from here.

On cue, Choji Tomiyama showed up and challenged Umemiya to a fight, prompting him to go down to the Furin high school courtyard and meet with him. The two spoke for a while until other Shishitoren members showed up, prompting Toma and the others to come down. Umemiya and Choji then discussed a fight, with the two sides eventually deciding to have a tournament-style brawl in Shishitoren territory the next day.

Umemiya and co went to Kotoha Tachibana’s cafe later, where it was revealed that Umemiya and Kotoha grew up in the same orphanage together. Fans also learned that Kotoha was only 16.

Toma began thinking of someone in Shishitoren he knew, while Umemiya said they’ll find out why the Shishitoren have fallen from grace during their fight, which he compared to a “conversation.”

The episode ended with the tournament all but having officially begun the next day.

Wind Breaker episode 5: What to expect (speculative)

With a major fight against the Shishitoren set to begin, Wind Breaker episode 5 will likely open with someone other than Umemiya or Sakura fighting. It’ll most likely be Toma, expanding on the teased shared history he has with a Shishitoren member and depicting him losing as a result of this emotional connection.

After this, episode 5 should set up either Umemiya or Sakura to fight next, with the latter more likely, considering Umemiya’s status and rank in the series. Fans likely won’t see Sakura’s fight with Togame begin in episode 5, but it should set up a focus on the fight for the subsequent release.
