The promotional video of Wind Breaker season 2 released by the series' producer featured a brief recap of the battle between Bofurin and Shishitoren. The video then stated that Bofurin's next opponent would be KEEL.

The video then focused on the key visual of Wind Breaker season 2, which featured Tasuku Tsubakino and revealed their voice actor. Moreover, the key visual also revealed four other mysterious characters, with a key focus on Ren Kaji and the series' protagonist, Haruka Sakura. The video ended with the reveal of the release window: April 2025.

The new voice casting was for Tasuku Tsubakino, one of the Four Heavenly Kings of Bofurin, who was revealed in the last episode of season 1. The character will be voiced by Ryouta Oosaka, famous for voicing characters like Naoto Tachibana from Tokyo Revengers and Sadao Maou from The Devil is a Part-Timer.

The other voice casting is expected to return to their roles, and so are most of the staff members, like Toshifumi Akai as the director, Taishi Kawakami as the character designer, and Ryou Takahashi as the music composer.

No official synopsis of Wind Breaker season 2 has been revealed as of this article's publication. However, judging from the key visual, we can speculate which arcs the sequel would cover. The sequel will begin with the adaptation of the rest of the KEEL Arc.

With Tsubakino being the key focus of the recently released PV video, Wind Breaker season 2 could cover the Sakura / Tsubakino Arc. The arc will see the Heavenly King of Bofurin show Sakura and his friends around town.

Moreover, the characters from the Roppo-Ichiza / Gravel Arc were also in the key visual, meaning that this arc would also be adapted in the sequel. This arc will see Tsubakino and Sakura's group save some old friends who a mysterious organization will threaten.
