The episode begins with a flashback, where Wignall practices his illusion magic to reach Ellenor's level. Although he fails, he doesn't give up. Back to the present, Wignall laments that his illusions don't have a physical form. He also tells Will how his elven brethren called him a disgrace for his failure.

While Wignall is one of the three students from the academy, he considers himself inferior. Elsewhere, Lihanna says the same thing to Colette. She calls herself inferior for having no real talent. The Thunder Mage feels she and other "top students" are like big fishes in a small pond.

The episode also reveals Wignall's backstory. The elven mage tells Will Serfort that he and Ellenor, one of the current Magia Vanders, were foster siblings in childhood. Wignall wanted to protect Ellenor as her big brother, but she turned out one of the High Elves.

After Ellenor became a Magia Vander, Wignall tried his best to reach her level, but he failed. Will thinks he and Wignall have more similarities than he imagined. He assures the mage of his talent, and promises to protect him til he gets back on his feet.

Following that, Will and Wignall face Balkar monsters, on whom only the elven illusion magic works. Will Serfort's firm belief in Wignall helps the mage break free from his insecurities and showcase his actual powers to defeat the monsters.

He also acknowledges the boy a true warrior and shakes hands with him. Elsewhere, Sion and Julius take on a horde of evil sentinels. Meanwhile, Edward Serfence and Workner evacuate the students and head to the 11th Floor to rescue Will's party.

The episode then highlights Lihanna, who apologizes to Colette for putting her and others in danger. Suddenly, the girls are ambushed by the mysterious mage killers. Lihanna is horrified to see her teacher's corpse and prepares to battle the mages.

She also finds out that the mage killers plan to destroy the barrier set by the Magia Vanders. The Headless Mage demonstrates a spell at Lihanna, but it gets deflected by Will Serfort, who arrives at the proper time.

Marze warns Headless against fighting the mages, with troublesome mages headed their way. Yet before they leave, the Headless Mage opens a portal to summon a high-level monster, called the Evil Grand Duke, from the dungeon's depth. The episode ends with Will Serfort and others preparing to face the evil being.

Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 11 is titled The True Name of Cowardice. As indicated by the finale of the previous episode, the next episode will see Lihanna's party go against the Evil Grand Duke who was summoned by the headless mage. Even though everyone is in a depleted mana state, they attack the duke monster on Will's saying.

As the Evil Grand Duke is responsible for destroying the 10th floor, Lihanna's party standing no chance against the grand beast will be given. However, through the teamwork of Colette and Will, the latter manages to cut the wings of the Evil Grand Duke, but this doesn't do much to it. Will Lihanna's party make it out alive of the dungeon?
