Wistoria: Wand and Sword episode 4 recap

The episode commences with the narrator revealing that a Magia Vander aspirant requires at least 7200 credits to advance to the upper institution. However, Will Serfort has only managed to accumulate 5405 credits thus far.

On the other hand, the episode introduces Wignall, Lihanna, and Julius, the Rigarden Academy's top three students, who have impressive credits. They effortlessly defeat several golems in a class test, which Will fails to do.

Julius looks down on Will and tells him to move aside. Later, Colette advises Will Serfort to enter the Grand Magic Festival since the event draws high mages from the tower, who scout talents. However, the protagonist reminds her about his abysmal performance in the biannual festival.

Later, they come across a hidden room, where students are seen placing odds on the prospective mages for the Grand Magic Festival. After a class, Colette asks Will whether he's free for dungeon crawling, but the boy informs her that he has a shift at Miss Gina's.

The episode then switches to Miss Gina's tavern, where Will Serfort serves delicious meals to the visitors. Rosty, Will's dormmate, is also seen helping him with orders. At that moment, Julius Reinberg arrives, accompanied by his friends.

He humiliates the dwarves and questions their inferior existence. Donnan, the tavern's owner grits his teeth and takes in the abuses. However, Will Serfort stands up for the dwarves. He tackles Julius' two friends after the boy throws away the food.

Will's act infuriates Julius, who demonstrates his ice magic to almost kill the boy. However, Will remains unfazed. Julius then challenges him to enter the Grand Magic Festival, where he wishes to humiliate him in front of an audience.

Will Serfort accepts the challenge in a heartbeat. He vows to win against Julius and have him apologize to Donnan and the other dwarves.
