Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 6 begins with a flashback scene from Sion's perspective. Right from the beginning the boy found Will miserable and an eyesore. That's why, he wanted Will to be his subordinate, so he wouldn't have to be miserable anymore.

However, Will never looked into Sion's eyes and kept ignoring him. He also never considered others an eyesore. As a result, Sion developed a resentment for the boy.

Following that, Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 6 returns to the present, and shows Sion Ulster demonstrating a variety of fire spells at Will to corner him. He reprimands Will for not dodging his spells and not taking the fight seriously.

However, the boy refuses to attack because he has to fulfill his promise to Donnan and others. Yet with Sion firing destructive spells, Will feels he has no choice but to fight. Elsewhere, Mike Maius wonders whether Will's team had a fallout. He asks Edward Serfence's opinion on the matter as the commentator.

The dark mage says no matter what the reason is, infighting within a team is unacceptable because it goes against the purpose of the Crown Attack. However, he says everything with a menacingly happy expression.

Meanwhile, Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 6 switches to the spectator's zone, where Iris sits next to Rosty and cheers for Will. Rosty Naumann thought Iris was a meek and mild type, but they were pleasantly surprised by the girl's enthusiasm. They mention that they love Will more than anyone.

Following that, Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 6 shifts the focus to Colette who combats against Julius Reinberg's ice spells. She feels she needs to stop the duo on the other side as soon as possible. However, Julius's ice magic makes it difficult for her to concentrate on Will and Sion's safety.

At that moment, the crowd and the commentators notice several Julius Reinberg at the different playing areas. Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 6 implies that Julius can create ice clones. Wignall appreciates the Ice Mage's trick as he never expected him to have such an ace up his sleeve, that too a spell of a Magia Vander.

Elsewhere, the Elf faction's Filvis and Lefiya (these characters are originally from Danmachi; Fujino Omori added them as an easter egg for fans) observe their Elven brethren's performance. Filvis wants to go home because she can't handle the festive atmosphere as an introvert.

On the other side, Sion's friends wonder what's wrong with the fire mage. They find it hard to believe that he would go such far during the Grand Magic Festival. Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 6 then returns to the Enchanted Forest, where Sion Ulster chants a mantra to summon his flame Guardian, Halcon Gardinas.

To Will Serfort's surprise, the flame bird charges at him. He cuts off its wings and seizes an opportunity to get closer to Sion. However, the Guardian regenerates its wings via high-speed restoration abilities.

As a result, Will thinks he has no option but to destroy its core. The flame bird demonstrates devastating spells at Will to catch him off-guard. Yet the boy absorbs it with his gauntlet, leaving Sion shocked.

Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 6 reveals that the primary purpose of a Guardian is to act as a shield to buy a mage time. However, Sion uses it to attack and defend from different directions. Edward is surprised by Sion's growth. Even the fire faction's recruits are surprised by the boy's precise control over magic.

The narrative for Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 6 switches to Sion Ulster's perspective, who shouts at Will, asking if it's everything he has got. The mage reminds the boy of his feats against the Evil Sentinel, where he exhibited his strength better.

However, Will still doesn't get why they have to fight. Sion responds to the boy's words in sheer aggression. He asks Will Serfort whether he doesn't resent him for ridiculing him for years.

Will responds to Sion by saying that he does hate it, and has imagined in the past to get back at him. However, he feels it's not the right time for them to battle. Yet, the fire mage doesn't stop there.

Sion is distraught by the fact that, even though he ridiculed and abused Will for all the years, he always looks at something other than him. With tears in his eyes, Sion Ulster tells Will not to ignore him, but rather notice him.

Wistoria: Wand and Sword Episode 6 switches the perspective to Will Serfort, who finally understands the fire mage's feelings for him. He recalls his past, where he wanted to be acknowledged deep down. He didn't pay any attention to anyone because his mind was focused on achieving the same heights as Elfaria.

However, Will realizes that Sion doesn't care about his circumstances but rather wants to be acknowledged. The boy thinks if Sion has recognized him, he must do his part and combat him with everything he has got.

Will Serfort finally looks at Sion, who demonstrates a wide-area annihilation spell combined with the Guardian's offensive charge. Yet, having seen the attack's trajectory, Will abandons his self-defense against the annihilation spell and charges at the Guardian to cut off its core.

Following that, he dashes toward Sion. However, the duo gets stopped by Colette, who erects a wall between them. Will asks if she's fine and asks about Julius. Colette says the Ice Mage disappeared when she beat him. She then admonishes Will and Sion for fighting among themselves. Colette tells Will to go forward and settle things with the Ice Mage.

When Sion objects, she reminds him that it's he who got in the way first. Colette points out that it's not every day a mage can impress the Tower. Will Serfort thanks Colette and promises Sion to have a proper fight next time.
